Re: WTB/WTT - pink minifig legs

(...) Wow, pink minifig legs? Good grief, I will have to go thru all my miscellaneous parts boxes (over 50 lb) and retrieve all the minifig items. I know I've got the pink legs because I bought 5 of the pink suitcases a few years ago (for those (...) (25 years ago, 2-Mar-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: Gary's One Shell Plaza

(...) Thank you very much Susan, My One Shell Plaza started as a 10 story building back in 1985 (and finally got to its present appearance in 1988). It kept growing horizontally as well as vertically. When I got more of those rare 1x4x5 yellow (...) (25 years ago, 2-Mar-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: I have these sets but can't find them in the set listings. Help!

OK, I have Basic Set 125. It is exactly that..... a basic set. There are no specialty pieces (besides some older bricks, windows & doors). If memory serves me correctly, this is a set that has the 4 brick high doors that were used in conjunction (...) (25 years ago, 3-Mar-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: Apathy? (was: WAMALUG's GATS Layout was a huge success!)

(...) Wow Mike, you really have set the "bar" higher as to your LEGO aspirations. Going against Conan. Wow, that would take some doing. The way I would suggest competing, is with "quality over quantity" (my own philosophy). But it doesn't hurt to (...) (...) ..... And by the way, 390 (1909 Cadillac) also had 4 of those 1x1x1 yellow windows, as did a few of the 1970's trains. I never did see these yellow windows in any Shell Station sets, just the yellow 1x2x2, 1x2x1 and 1x6x3 windows, and the (...) (25 years ago, 6-Mar-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Old 1960 era stuff..

Hi Jeff, No your LEGO has not aged badly at all (I used to think the same thing). What you have is Cellulose Acetate LEGO. The LEGO company used Cellulose Acetate plastic from the early 1950's until 1963. After that, they switched to ABS plastic, (...) (25 years ago, 6-Mar-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

(...) No it was the 1x3x4 door. They started making that one around '73 or '74. The classic 1x2x3 door (made since '57) was still produced in a few sets in '75 (#148, #400), but was totally discontinued by '77, when the regular minifigs came onto (...) (25 years ago, 6-Mar-00, to lugnet.general)

  Minifig Legs/Hips colors

I was starting to sort all my old/new minifigs from my miscellaneous parts boxes, and came across the following colors: white, red, blue, black, gray, pink, green, and 2 types of yellow (one with black "hips", the other with gray "hips"). (...) It's possible that #125 had both door types, but I highly doubt it. I'll check my 125 box tonight and see. If it did have both, it would show them being used on the box. Yes 148 (Red train station) had both sizes in white. Set #400 (...) (25 years ago, 8-Mar-00, to lugnet.general)
