Re: Technic & robotics-compatible LEGO ZNAP clearance at TRU

(...) My experience with Znap has been "mixed". Certainly, I couldn't've done my ferris wheel without those huge 1/8th-circle pieces. But I found it impossible to build a suitable support frame for it with Znap: the plastic is softer than Technic, (...)   Re: Why Gary cannot go to Legoland.

(...) To follow up on the point of uniqueness... I think a further advantage of the uniqueness (beyond wow factor for visitors, etc.) is that it becomes virtually impossible to duplicate the experience. You could never probably go out and duplicate (...) (23 years ago, 29-Apr-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.legoland)

Ok all I'm sorry but arcanamachi@netzero.net has been clogged up with some very large files making it impossible for me to get mail there. Try botsmaster3000@hotmail.com instead. Would it be so impossible to believe that a Space set released alongside or shortly after the Star Wars sets might actually appeal to the same market? If you're talking 'Classic' (...) I think I get what your talking about. I've tried making all the logos face the same way before too, except it gets hard on corners and is near impossible for big sets. I did build that way for my Imperial Shuttle though. Hasta La Vista, Sean (...) (22 years ago, 7-Nov-02, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Lego Technic: R.I.P. ?

(...) What's needed is to include a book with (say) a hundred designs in it. That would cost a bunch to print - but in a $200 set, it might not be impossible. I would also suggest designs that are modular - given a dozen different drive mechanisms (...) (22 years ago, 14-Nov-02, to lugnet.robotics)

I've seen so many great building ideas in the past year it's impossible to keep track of them all.
