(...) I doubt that would be possible, certainly very difficult as it works with decimal digits. Maybe possible to build a binary difference engine with pneumatics. (...) It is really quite uncomplicated, google "babbage difference engine" returns (...) (20 years ago, 30-May-04, to lugnet.robotics, FTX)

Re: April 1st sometime in the world ... ? (Re: New Trains)

(...) What is with the rude comments of late? Someone can't just throw in a little meaningless statement here and there? You do it often enough. I do it, too, and so do most people. (...) Yes, but isn't that a real train company? Wouldn't it have to (...) (25 years ago, 31-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Brickfest 2004 Animation Contest announcement

Greetings. I will try to answer all the questions that this thread generates, however many of your concerns may have already been addressed at the Brickfilms.com forums: (URL) note that I am posting on behalf of the organizer, Josh Leasure; also at (...)   Why I hate my life

I'm siting at my computer. My socks and feet are wet, and my wendys is cold. And all my electronics and furniture, and half my LEGO, is on my balcony. And there's this loud roar of about 4 fans and a dehumidifier running in my apartment. My day (...) (21 years ago, 10-Sep-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Repost, for the benefit of those on newsreaders

Someone expressed frank misgivings about the formatting of this post: (URL) can I say? The FTX shows up just fine on my browser. Hi Dan, I've been following this part of the debate and specifically staying out of it, because I can tell when a cool-headed discussion turns into a hot flame war.   Re: taking good photos

Ah, forgot to do this: I checked the site out with MSIE 5.00. The tables are OK (as they are on Navigator). The country window does show up on MSIE.
