All followups to LUGNET.ORG.US and LUGNET.LOC.US.MA.BOS (because that is where TCS is). As most of you know many of us in NELUG are going to work on a Window Display at The Construction Site in Waltham MA ( www.constructiontoys.com ). We hope to (...)   Re: Why not wait

(...) I agree completely! To reiterate an earlier point, the greater problem is that Han's evolution as a character is watered-down, so that he's no longer a self-serving rogue finding redemption through a cause--he's an okay guy who remains an okay (...)   Re: Longest train?

(...) snip (...) Ah, I was being vague again. The trains to which I was refering were regular freight trains not coal trains. snip (...) Why 'space'? Is it because your trains become 'rockets' if you send more than 10 cars and 3 engines down at once (...) (25 years ago, 22-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: New Castle TCS Window Project (was Re: NELUG meeting report from 12/16/1999)

I think we are starting to get some Ideas and I think I will probably start a dedicated thread for this project very soon. (...) I like this idea a lot (...)   Re: Is a CDROM really necessary for mindstorms?

(...) I highly recommend that you use NQC instead of the software on the CDROM. Which means the only thing you'll need off of the disc is the firmware image. (25 years ago, 22-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  2000 Lego

Hiya Everyone, As everyone is posting their findings of the new 2000 Lego sets, I figured I might as well for the Scranton, Pa area. On Monday, the 20th.   RE: Is a CDROM really necessary for mindstorms?

Dear Alan, I don't know if you can run the software without a CDROM reader but I know that I can't even get the Mindstorms software to run my laptop even with a CDROM reader. I think the problem is the lack of video memory. .[Comments?] Your old (...) (25 years ago, 22-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Lighting LEGOLAND California

Re: Something I forgot to ask at the NELUG meeting...

(...) I'd go for the t-shirt over the golf shirt. cos I'm a t-shirt kinda guy. $15 would be pretty good, especially if we got one of those 'pocket-tees' or similar high-quality shirts. (I'd rather pay a bit more and have a shirt that will last.) J (25 years ago, 22-Dec-99, to lugnet.org.us)
