We have also decided to do another Window display at The Construction Site
in Waltham MA ( http://www.constructiontoys.com ).  This setup will be
focused on a Castle theme and will include many MOC's as well as some of the
new production sets.  There is still quite a bit of planning to be done on
this so we don't all build the same thing and end up with 20 towers and no
city/town stuff.  I think we probably need to start a discussion just on
this subject so that we can at least get a start on something then at some
point in January or so we can have another meeting to see how things are
going and try and set a date for setup at The Construction Site.

I have cross-posted this to lugnet.loc.us.ma.bos (because that is where TCS is
after all).

I think we are starting to get some Ideas and I think I will probably start a
dedicated thread for this project very soon.

Here's an idea for the initial setup - I think we should use the old 'modular
Castle'-type setup for the walls and towers: the walls being 1 wall piece
high, connected with Technic pegs at specified heights, with the battlements
looking a certain way - that way the wall will look more 'unified'.  The only
change I'd consider making would be the possibility of using green baseplates
instead of green regular plates for the 'ground'.  We'd probably also want to
accomodate people who want to use the different colors of wall sections
somehow - I know I have a lot fewer lt. grey walls than I would like.

I like this idea a lot but we need to figure out exactly what we are going for.
I know we have said that we would like to include some of the current sets in
the set-up because that helps The Construction Site sell sets.  I guess we need
to decide what our theme is.  I have a few Ideas and will list them when I
start the dedicated thread.

I'm tempted to do a troupe of travelling actors a la the ones in _Rosencrantz
and Guildenstern are Dead_ (or _Hamlet_ I suppose) that have come to visit the
town.  Maybe we could go for a sort of 'market day' atmosphere?  I'll also
volunteer my LEGO sheep and perhaps I'll try to make a LEGO cow now that I
have some horns to put on it...

All very cool sounding stuff.  I think part of the dedicated thread will
include having people put down what they can contribute.
