(...) Hmm... well we can hope that if there's a restock maybe Costco will have GCJ too. I'd get more of those! As for getting a BJ's card I think two of these is enough. Wish Sam's carried better toys, I like them better overall. ++Lar ======== (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-98, to lugnet.storage)

(...) I like the variety of newer faces for lego minifigs, but in some cases, I think TLG's gone too far*. I mean, printing a very intricate face on the standard yellow LEGO head seems a bit like putting a spoiler on a Model-T IMO. That's not to say (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: Question of rareness... 4559, 4548

(...) Both sets are still current. In fact, 4559 comes with the speed regulator 4548 included. Any train set is worth the money in my opinion ! Grahame Reid (27 years ago, 25-Oct-98, to lugnet.trains)

I can see why, those are pretty cool little sets, AND they are copies of older US sets. I wouldn't mind having some of them either. Hopefully they'll show up somewhere again.   Re: Lego Creator CD

LEGO Creator is not perfect. It is a whole lot slower 'loading' than LDRAW. (Extremely slower. I have a P233 and the techie had a P2 300 and he was complaining about how slow it was.) However, once it loads it's speed seems unaffected by the number (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-98, to lugnet.cad)

  Question of rareness... 4559, 4548

I saw a 4559 Cargo Railway and a 4548 Speed Regulator in a local "Bedford Falls Toys & Books" today. I am not really into Lego Trains yet - but I was wondering if these are particularly rare items, and worth the money... Thanks in advance... -- (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-98, to lugnet.trains)

  Well.

This is my first post to lugnet. I've been lurking since it came online. I have to say I like lugnet so far. It's relatively organized and has better people/control than RTL does :) (Not that I hate RTL, it's just a tad bit disorganized) I've been (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-98, to lugnet.general)

(...) I do like the classic minifigs, but I do like a lot of the new ones too. I'd love to see a re-issue of classic sets, but on the whole I'm pleased with the current line.
