Ed, yes the RCX is acknowledging most commands. It does not do this with the commands used in LRemote ((URL) -- I'm stuck on the old name too, for the same reason). Dave, I like the idea of teaching how to solve certain problems both with multiple threads and with a Finite State Machine. Adding "switch" would be great! The first message appeared to have come from another isp, interport.net, not mediaone.net, although the original never appeared on my news server so I can't get a look at the complete headers (only what dejanews provides).
