  liscence question...

Hi you folks on lugnet.starwars, in lugnet.dear-lego I unfortunately mentioned that there is certain paragraph in the Lucasfilm contracts about "no new space themes while the contract lasts" or anything like this. Please see: (URL) problem is that I (...) (25 years ago, 27-Nov-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Enough trans-antifreeze!

Hi again, sorry for all the trouble I might have caused, I am new to lugnet. But the fact that the Lucasfilm Inc. Contract includes a paragraph that does not permit any further lines seems to be true. I do not know the details in the Contract and (...) (25 years ago, 27-Nov-99, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Clone DATs--any interest?

First of all, no one is trying to "pass" any clones as being the real thing. (...) Second, Tyco is NOT "crummy", it's just different. I don't use it but I think you're letting your emotions get in when you toss around "crummy". Tyco made blocks that (...)   Re: Remote Switches & GMLTC main lines

John N already answered but I will butt in too.. (...) I'm gonna go with "no". I know John said "yes" but from what I saw when running at shows, it was whatever people felt like running. The station in the corner doesn't really have a lot of (...) (25 years ago, 27-Nov-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Letters & Numbers?

I got one because I just couldn't stand it any more... they are huge. 2x2 DUPLO tiles. Neat, though. (...) (25 years ago, 27-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Part Authoring

(...) Seconded. MLCad is very very nice. But, awesome as it is, there are always wish lists... Go here: (URL) my wishlist... (25 years ago, 27-Nov-99, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  Re: Clone DATs--any interest?

(...) OK, here's an analogy... Hopefully this will illustrate the purist's point of view and why it's not arbitrary... You go into a restaurant and order big fat juicy third-pound burger with all the fixings, a side of french fries, and a big tall (...)   Re: $9 off $9 purchase at toysrus.com

(...) I just got a Snowspeeder ffor $7.23 using the $9 offer from flamingoworld.com, then using the $10 offer picked up the Sith Infiltrator and a Speederbike set for $21.37 Thats a total of AUD$44.41 at current exchange rates, and to buy it here in (...)   Part Authoring

Has anyone tried to make new parts with MLCAD? I would like to learn how to do them and then contribute to the LDraw library. I am assuming right now that it can only be done with Notepad and saved then viewed with MLCAD, but I don't know. I am (...) (25 years ago, 27-Nov-99, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: problem downloading srec file to RCX

  Re: Clone DATs--any interest?

(...) I haven't thought about this much and I can only speak for myself, but when I see water or skies or starry backgrounds, or fire or smoke or sand or anything like that, to me it's just "background stuff" to round out the image -- just as LEGO (...)   Re: LEGOcenter

Re: Hugo meets the Blacktron Empire

(...) Heh. I just posted in (URL) that I thought my favorite Blacktron spaceship was one of Todd's MOC's. MOC's are *never* blasphemous. LEGO is made to be reused and redesigned. That's fundamental, canonical, to its nature. There's absolutely (...) (25 years ago, 27-Nov-99, to lugnet.space)

Re: Scout vs RIS and reverse engineering and Byte Codes

The pollm command lets you look at memory from 0x40 to 0x440 (1 K). The unused memory does not look like code. It looks like the system attributes are available there--probably battery level and such. Also variables must be there. We have 10 globals (...) (25 years ago, 26-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

FW: Lead warning for people who solder - no Lego content left

Actually the comparison isn't flawed, just misunderstood ;-) The point was that smoking or eating (with lead on your hands) will increase the amount of lead that is absorbed into your body, no matter how the lead got onto your hands. If you don't (...) (25 years ago, 26-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Clone DATs--any interest?
