IMHO, Radio Shack is very hit-and-miss depending upon your location. I also live in the LA area and most of my experiences have been negative and often maddening. If you live near Burbank, there is a good store called Electronic City that has high (...) (25 years ago, 24-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

That's too bad. I hate it when companies don't bother with international orders. It's near sited of them. I'd like to recommend Digi-key for parts. They have a huge selection (no books though).
