  Re: Tasks vs. program slots

(...) Dave, It is basically just exactly what you describe. It usually takes about 200us or so to "see" the incoming 38KHz signal, common I suppose for an integrator to react to the signal getting through the band-pass filter, then a Schmidt trigger (...)   Sale at LearningSmith

I'm not sure whether this is a Local thing or a Robotics thing. I was in LearningSmith at the Emerald Square Mall yesterday, and they were in the midst of a 20% off everything sale, including Mindstorms. I asked them how long the promotion would (...)   Re: Current Town Projects

(...) Townies are not an endangered species! (Although TLG hasn't been real helpful with Town Jr.) My town hasn't had many changes lately (been busy this summer), but I have a few things in the pipeline. I plan on building a new train station (not (...) (25 years ago, 20-Sep-99, to lugnet.town)

  RE: Did you see this?!

Hi, On the contrary, $169 is a typical price for this set on RTL for the last 2 years. Maybe a bit higher, but not much.   Re: File format for set inventories?

(...) This is a great idea, especially if you also give the user the ability to easily build an inventory, for example by dragging parts from a parts list, parts search or catalog view-window onto a parts bin window. This "inventory building" (...) (25 years ago, 20-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: DAT format question  [DAT]

(...) I just remembered something else: Since LDraw doesn't specifically support the /s directory, parts which call subparts in the /s directory must include the directory information. For example: 0 Space Wheel Medium 0 Name: 2593.dat 0 Author: (...) (25 years ago, 20-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: MOC: Naboo N-1 Starfighter

(...) Thanks! (...) The TLG model just didn't look right (and didn't do anything either). I planned on using most of the pieces in the TLG model and adding a few, but I added more than I though I would :) Pat J: does this count as a modified TLG (...)   Re: Cars, Trucks, & other essentials.

  Re: IRPD revisited

(...) It also depends on the construction of the robot itself. The Lego Group's designs (in general) are usually pretty good at staying together. Some of their models can literally be bounced off of a wall and do more damage to the wall than the (...) (25 years ago, 20-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Brakes for 8880

I have found an obscure promo set from 1976. It is set number 1601. I have posted a pic on my website: (URL) As I have not seen the set in any catalog or on anyone else's database of set numbers, I thought people in this group may be interested in (...) (25 years ago, 20-Sep-99, to lugnet.promo)

  Less-Common Colors

I've always been curious as to why green and brown pieces have always been relatively uncommon; I realize that it now probably has to do with the higher production costs associated with adding a color scheme to existing parts; however, what I am (...) (25 years ago, 20-Sep-99, to lugnet.faq)
