As I recall, the NNTP engine for LUGNET wasn't something that Todd custom-wrote (like the web interface), but was a build of some already-existing implementation, which could be why it's a little less accessible. (...) The authentication emails have NOTHING whatsoever to do with NNTP. A properly configured NNTP server uses usernames and passwords for authentication. I used to use NNTP for Lugnet, and for several other groups as well, but I gave up using it for Lugnet long ago (soon after the auth emails were implemented I believe) and over the last couple of years, all the groups I used it for have moved (...) The only difference is that 'real' (paying) members don't have to reply to the confirmation email for each post they do. Which isn't a hassle at all, (...) Not sure if it is just me, but has the new version of LDD gone a little crazy? I have been trying to place a 4x4 plate on top of a square made with two 1x2 and two 1x4 bricks, and it will not line up whatsoever. It has the plate half a stud off each (...)
