  Re: Advanced minifig animations

(...) A warning though: When you download the trial version of Poser 8 they ask for your credit card number. And in my case they charged $1 to it despite the trial version being free and the invoice showing $0. Mike (16 years ago, 8-Aug-10, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Advanced minifig animations

(...) I'm pretty sure you can do these kinds of things with blender (URL) it has a steep learning curve, and you'll have to create the minifig models from scratch. Roland (16 years ago, 8-Aug-10, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Advanced minifig animations

(...) I did a little research. You can create bones and poses in Daz3D Studio and Poser. Poser 8 costs $250, but you can buy Poser 7 for $50. Daz3D Studio is free, but you have to buy a $30 plugin to create your own bones and poses from scratch. (...) (16 years ago, 8-Aug-10, to lugnet.cad)

  Edmonton House

I built this model a couple of months ago, but hadn't gotten around to taking any pictures. So, I took it out this morning, took pictures, and made a web page. It's my version of a house in the style of early large brick houses of the area. See: (...) (16 years ago, 8-Aug-10, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.town)

  Re: Half-Plate-High Steps

(...) PS. This is a pretty good replacement for Brickwiki (although with less text) (URL) You should add some links to your galleries of trickery to it. (16 years ago, 8-Aug-10, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Half-Plate-High Steps

  Re: Half-Plate-High Steps

--snip-- (...) I've had these on BS for about 6 years and I was far from the first to do it. (URL) Not sure if there's any quarter plate steps (URL) in here> but there's certainly the makings of 1/3rd plates. Tim (16 years ago, 7-Aug-10, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Half-Plate-High Steps

(...) Well for something so trivial I sure have a lot of people e-mailing me asking how I made them. And nobody who's telling me it's a simple thing has offered a technique of their own, yet. So let's see some quarter steps! (16 years ago, 7-Aug-10, to lugnet.build, FTX)

(...) I have seen the half-plate inset used on trains and vehicles, too, but it was a challenge to turn that into an ongoing series of half-steps that could be extended indefinitely. Don (16 years ago, 6-Aug-10, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Half-Plate-High Steps

(...) I have probably seen it somewhere else (train doors?), as I solved it immediately. But it's still fun with LEGO puzzles! (16 years ago, 6-Aug-10, to lugnet.build)

  Half-Plate-High Steps

I'm working on the file for this in bricksmith, but thought I'd post a teaser for anyone else who'd like to try this building puzzler: create a set of stairs with risers one half plate in height.   Lego prices in the US vs. Europe

I always found it fascinating to see that a Lego set was cheaper in the US than in Denmark, for instance. That did not seem right.
