I’m working on the file for this in bricksmith, but thought I’d post a teaser for anyone else who’d like to try this building puzzler: create a set of stairs with risers one half plate in height.

Here’s an example:

This is the basic unit of the solution I came up with. It can be extended to any height. The steps are fully supported and it’s built with all “legal” moves as far as I know. No LEGO bricks were harmed in the production of this model.

(...) I have probably seen it somewhere else (train doors?), as I solved it immediately. But it's still fun with LEGO puzzles! (14 years ago, 6-Aug-10, to lugnet.build)

(...) Half steps are fairly trivial... try quarter steps. They're possible ;) Tim (14 years ago, 6-Aug-10, to lugnet.build, FTX)
