Question to parts authors about BFC CERTIFY  [DAT]

As many parts authors are aware, LDView produces a warning if it finds more than one instance of the CERTIFY option among the BFC commands in one file. For example, the following will produce a warning on the second BFC command: 0 BFC CERTIFY CCW 1 (...) (20 years ago, 12-Oct-06, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.cad.dev)

  Lunar Mobile Lounge

My newest Space creation is the Lunar Mobile Lounge which has actually been at several BayLUG meetings, even though I never posted about it anywhere until now. (This is a crosspost from my (URL) blog>) The concept is based on the “mobile lounges” at (...) (20 years ago, 12-Oct-06, to lugnet.space, lugnet.technic, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX) !

  Re: Nothing to say?

(...) It makes it difficult for anyone. This is precisely why I don't tend to post on some of the more specialized forums. I'll be the first to admit that my photography skills needs help, and that the lighting where I generally take photos isn't (...) (20 years ago, 12-Oct-06, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Nothing to say?

--snip-- (...) I still don't think it should be this way. It's not so hard to focus on what is good in an otherwise mediocre model. I've also noticed that MOCs have to also be photographed well these days to get much response... that makes it even (...) (20 years ago, 12-Oct-06, to lugnet.general)

Re: Sophisticated Toy Robot to Get Mind-Altering Software

(...) Allowing NXT-G to use arrays and clusters (aka structs) will be a nice addition to the language. Hopefully it is exposed in a way that does not require writing VIs in LabView. Hopefully they will allow for creating variables that are clusters (...) (20 years ago, 12-Oct-06, to lugnet.robotics)

Northwest Artifact wins Best of Show at NWBrickCon 2006

Here are a few pics of my Northwest Artifact (Totem Pole). It is 6 feet tall, has a 7-1/2 foot wingspan and uses about 20,000 bricks and plates. The technology I developed to enable such massive (and thin) wings is called Plywood and Staples. The (...) (20 years ago, 12-Oct-06, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX) !!

  Re: Nothing to say?

Hello! (...) You are probably referring to Mocpages. And what happens there is, I guess, this: People come along a MOC, see it's (for example) Castle stuff, are Mecha kids themselves, think "blah, Castle, boring" and rate it 1/6. On Lugnet there (...) (20 years ago, 12-Oct-06, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Nothing to say?

(...) I think you hit it- our standards are so high that a MOC has to REALLY have some element(s) about it to get a response. I don't post much in terms of written feedback but I do use the highlight/spotlight function often. I figure it's giving (...) (20 years ago, 12-Oct-06, to lugnet.general)

Re: KCLUG - Greater Kansas City Model Railroad Expo - Pictures

Well done lads! I have never displayed anything but can imagine the co-ordination and planning it would take to achieve such a slick finished result... God Bless, Nathan Visit my brickshelf gallery: (URL) (pic=link) (20 years ago, 12-Oct-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: first multi-colored sculpture - rhapsody in blue

Impressive! I have never even attempted a sculpture (I feel like an dinosaur on Lugnet now ; ) but this still looks very tricky... I love the sharpness of the line itself, and the figs at the base really make it. Thanks for sharing and God Bless, (...) (20 years ago, 12-Oct-06, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

  Re: Nothing to say?

(...) Then there should be a feature for an uploaded MOC to be rated 1 - 10 or something in a poll. Something really quick and easy-- look at the ESPN poll on the front page. It should work that simple and fast. If I have to log in and go through (...) (20 years ago, 12-Oct-06, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: K, that's it! We're doing it!!

(...) I started with 3. Then I thought about it, and went 3 to 5. Once you get beyond 5 or 6 pounds (with LEGO) then people are just being excessive. And, I know excessive. (...) (...) I'd like to point out that the space men climbing up at the bottom were my contribution to David's Sculpture. It was really quite impressive. Well Done. steve (20 years ago, 12-Oct-06, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

  Re: K, that's it! We're doing it!!

(...) K, I like Steve's idea--I was going for the 24 by 24 with the 18+ battery boxes, but to keep things reasonable, the 12 x 12 is a perfectly good restriction 3-5 pounds? that's tough 'cause I remember building my tug o' war 'bot and trying to (...)   Re: Nothing to say?

(...) I typically post only when the urge comes upon me. I've gotten around this whole issue by posting my pictures to a site that counts the number of hits. If people like what they see, I'll see the hits. That's enough for me. -Duane (20 years ago, 12-Oct-06, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: K, that's it! We're doing it!!

(...) hmm. Maybe worth a trip to Canada. (...) I'd think there should be at least a couple rules, to keep people (like me) from building robot that are just stupid-big. Something like 12x12 inches and 3 to 5 lbs should be plenty for most. Also, if I (...) (20 years ago, 12-Oct-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Hi all, After lurking for more than six years, this is my very first post here. I'm watching the rendering competition very closely and I really think this is an outstanding effort!
