  '05 FLL meetings

Well, I guess we might as well talk about this here than trying to do it via e-mail. I think we should start our meetings either the Sunday after Labor Day (8-11) or sometime the week of Labor Day. I think it would be nice to have at least 1 or 2 (...) (21 years ago, 23-Aug-05, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

  Stickers scans wanted...

Hi there, I have some old sets, without the stickers, long lost since my childhood. I tried to search on internet, but I haven't found good quality scans (printable). Anyone can help me? I need the scans of the stickers in sets 6363 or 374, for (...) (21 years ago, 23-Aug-05, to lugnet.town)

Re: Joe Vig Meets a Lady (A Little Risque)

(...) It's a little off-color, but I don't think it's too bad. I mean, the violent mishaps to which poor Joe has been subjected might likewise garner more than a PG-rating, so Stephen is just pushing the envelope in another direction. For that (...)   Re: My humble opinion about LDraw animation

(...) Many thanks to you James, your experience is priceless to me. Before i attempt anything i will now carefully consider: * what POV-Ray can do * how it does * whether i can do easier/better * if people don't want to learn POV-Ray, then they (...) (21 years ago, 23-Aug-05, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: New LEGO RoboCam'Bot

Re: Joe Vig Meets a Lady (A Little Risque)

Nathan, cap yourself. I love it. It's a prime example of the sort of truly warped mindset Lugnet is all too short on. Good choice of faces and a good presentation - it goes from merely sleazy to disturbing very nicely :D. Soren (21 years ago, 23-Aug-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, lugnet.town) !

Re: An idea concerning the new RC trains and a new RCX

(...) Well, the term was not my idea, several people in this very newsgroup invented this more or less simultaneously, and, as the new gauge is designed to be chaeper than the other gauge, they are not totally wrong, are they? (...) That would be (...) (21 years ago, 23-Aug-05, to lugnet.trains)

Re: An idea concerning the new RC trains and a new RCX

(...) Depends. Infrared is very tricky for mobile systems, and a train out of sight (behind houses, in a hunnel) is dead meat in tems of infrared communication... A simple (still reliable!) Bluetooth system should be in the same price range as a (...) (21 years ago, 23-Aug-05, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Legway

(...) I love to hear about these. I know building someone else's design, and using someone else's code doesn't sound like a challenge, but I also know setting up BrickOS IS a challenge. And besides, it's pretty cool to watch it stand there... Steve (21 years ago, 23-Aug-05, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: An idea concerning the new RC trains and a new RCX

(...) Well - I am not thrilled with your references to the train as "el cheapo". Lego is a company that has to make money (the whole point of a company). They are making new trains in a direction that will make the train more affordable to a larger (...) (21 years ago, 23-Aug-05, to lugnet.trains)

Re: An idea concerning the new RC trains and a new RCX

An idea concerning the new RC trains and a new RCX

Hi, all, I know this might just be a shot in the blue sky, but anyway: Lego is most propably working on a new RCX system. At the Legofan site, there is a discussion about things that should be in a new RCX, and someone mentioned Bluetooth as a (...)   Re: A LEGO double-throw switch?

The concept is good (at least I think it will work (...) (21 years ago, 23-Aug-05, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: A LEGO double-throw switch?

Re: My humble opinion about LDraw animation

Re: My humble opinion about LDraw animation

(...) There are 2 ways you can approach this. Animation involves time. The LDraw format does not include anything in it to deal with time. The first approach would be to add something to deal with time to the LDraw format. This is a very bad idea (...) (21 years ago, 23-Aug-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Joe Vig Meets a Lady (A Little Risque)

(...) I...honestly...don't like it. I just don't like the idea of putting innocent Joe into "adult" situations like this. I prefer G and at the most PG rated humor for vignettes. -- Nathan Wells (21 years ago, 23-Aug-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, lugnet.town)

  Re: A LEGO double-throw switch?
