Re: Train automation - ideas & implementations?

A few of my Mocs used to play Battletech

Hello all, I finally got around to taking pictures of the last of my Mocs that were used in my Bricktek games of the last 3 years. They are now on Brickshelf for all to see. In chronological order (I think) they are: Whiplash (5 URLs) is the link (...) (21 years ago, 16-May-05, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.space, lugnet.gaming, lugnet.build.mecha)

Train automation - ideas & implementations?

OK, I've got a simple system for dumping hopper cars, and some ideas on making it "look better", but I'd love to see other ideas or designs for this. I've got ideas for offloading and possibly loading standard-sized containers as well. But looking (...) (21 years ago, 16-May-05, to lugnet.trains)

Re: LEGO track connector wires: Which way is up?!

(...) Ted, I've noticed this as well. It seems to be worse with the older wires not matching the newer ones. I've fixed this on some of my connectors. I pop open the square conector, and reinsert the wire. You ned to remove ~ 1/2" of wire before (...) (21 years ago, 16-May-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: CSI : Mecha

(...) Hello Brian, when I first saw the pictures I felt pain. I thought "What a disaster!". But then I looked again and realized two things: 1. The fallen Mecha obviously wasn't damaged as much as I first thought. How do you build such giants that (...) (21 years ago, 16-May-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: ABC's Extreme Makeover--May 22nd, 2005

(...) These are the hits I get for EMHE: Extreme Makeover: Home Edition Piestewa Family: The team fulfills the dream of Pfc.   Re: New Lego Track!

(...) Trainheads want their new track geometries. Spacers want to see 3vil and PCS turned into official sets. I don't read castle, but I'm sure they have their own hang ups.... (...) I'll have you know I was myself surprised when Kelly McKeirnan (...) (21 years ago, 16-May-05, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Lambrecht-Lowell Stellar Cartography Podule

(...) Flibbity Floo. Any "system" that has such heavy restrictions on building creativity sucks and should be abandoned. I mean really. Why bother with incorporating "trains" at all? JOHN (21 years ago, 16-May-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Lambrecht-Lowell Stellar Cartography Podule

(...) I see someone was replying at the same time as me! I forgot to add that I think if you have one fixed permanent corridor, it should be allowed to be supported from below however you want; this to allow a little more creative freedom. The (...) (21 years ago, 16-May-05, to lugnet.space)

LEGO track connector wires: Which way is up?!

In wiring up our layout for DCC this month, we discovered that the LEGO track wires are not consistently polarized. They seemed considerably more one way than the other, but there were some each way. Are they supposed to be one way only, or does (...) (21 years ago, 16-May-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Original vs. Copy: Printed Lego Items

(...) Oh, and that suggests a way to identify a copy. If it's waxy, it's almost certainly a copy. Frank (21 years ago, 16-May-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: Original vs. Copy: Printed Lego Items

(...) I'm pretty sure there are non-digital color copiers. I have a color photocopy hanging in my office that was made at least 20 years ago, and with the tools available here in the office, I can't see any pixelation. I guess it could be digitial, (...)   Re: Lambrecht-Lowell Stellar Cartography Podule

(...) Another point on putting space train track on the edge of modules - it becomes vitally important that you follow a strict six-wide rule on your trains. i.e. not even half a plate of overhang is allowed for ladders or handles. The trains must (...) (21 years ago, 16-May-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

In the UK we're still using the 'Classic Moonbase' ;) standard, i.e. we haven't jacked ours up the extra bricks, (...) (21 years ago, 16-May-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: ABC's Extreme Makeover--May 22nd, 2005

(...) Well if my guess is right, the person's module itself was only a torn-up corridor; it was the ferocious looking creature eating the module that was impressive. Derek (21 years ago, 16-May-05, to lugnet.mediawatch)

  Re: Lambrecht-Lowell Stellar Cartography Podule

(...) I think he means that the extra bits attached to the corridor assembly should not extend more than one plate below the corridor floor in order to keep the clearance for stuff passing underneath. --Bram (21 years ago, 16-May-05, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Spanish Galleon

(...) Hello James, there are 98 cannons in the whole ship, but most of them are somewhat "faked" - they are only light-gray minifig heads or 1x1 round bricks, fixed into technic holes inside the ship Marmaris (21 years ago, 16-May-05, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: CSI : Mecha

(...) Wow, Those are interesting pictures. Dang, how many of those technic turntables do you have? If I'm not mistaken, three of those mecha have Teknomeka frames (including the fallen one).
