  Re: domanda banale

(21 years ago, 30-Apr-05, to lugnet.org.it.itlug)

Re: An Idea for Brickfest? Feedback appreciated

(...) If you're going ahead with this, leave it open to anybody who wants to display a MOC in the "dark room". Lit up space, town, sculpture, train, whatever. It's all good. Adrian (21 years ago, 30-Apr-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

  Re: HOLD ME.

(...) You're talking about caged bearings. Caged bearings do have a higher coefficent of friction over non-caged bearings, but the friction is constant (in a normal bearing, the balls come into contact intermitently), the life is extended (...)   Re: Inexpensive portability

Re: An Idea for Brickfest? Feedback appreciated

Ok, There seems to be enough interest in this to run with it. Now the question seems to be do we present this as a moonbase or do we present it as just a collection of mocs? I was kinda leaning towards moonbase but if thier is a lot of people who (...) (21 years ago, 30-Apr-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

One tip -- don't connect to the Internet without installing a new AV pack, and do windowsupdate immediately! I bought an old laptop on Ebay for a project, and as soon as it went online, all sorts of malware began running. -dbm (...) (21 years ago, 30-Apr-05, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: txt2dat - Create LDraw files from text

(...) Actually, looking at the brick 1x1s with letters in LDraw, it should be possible to generate glyphs straight from the DAT files. Then it's just a matter of packaging them up nicely in a font file, saves having to convert it to a bitmap & back. (...) (21 years ago, 30-Apr-05, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) Mmmmm ... cram. I'm in the "cram=twinkies" camp from my rec.arts.books.tolkien days, btw. Thanks for the compliment. Maybe I should do some LotR vignettes. I could surely turn those out more quickly than full chapters. Bruce (21 years ago, 30-Apr-05, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Apache

  Apache

Dumb question, because I'm not in the mood to read. I have an Apache server running on my computer. Port 80 and all that. I have another HTTP server running on lets say port 8080. Doesn't matter what it is really, just that it's there. I want to (...) (21 years ago, 30-Apr-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
