  Re: BrickCommander® 2004 Finale

(...) Your praise is appreciated, Kyle! The LEGO rescue chopper indeed is a nice set. Actually it's one of the few sets I purchased myself in 2004. However, if you were ONLY after the canopy, I would recommend to buy single elements at bricklink. I (...) (21 years ago, 26-Dec-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Bullfrog: My entry for the Military-Hover-Vehicle Contest

Hi there I proudly present you the work of my x-mas weekend: The Bullfrog, a heavily armoured but agile Infantry-Support-Hover-Tank with high precision Twin Turbo-Laser. The vehicle goes for the small one-man class of the Military-Hover-Vehicle (...) (21 years ago, 26-Dec-04, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.space)

  Re: MOC: Night Owl

(...) I haven't seen any. But then, for some reason when people think scultpure they think bumps up. I don't understand why. The only thing I'd say I'm doing much different is taking lessons learned in .space and applying them to another area. But (...) (21 years ago, 26-Dec-04, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: Two queries: How-to for loco wheels and which app did this?

SNIPPY (...) Hmm. Never thought of that one- probably because I don't have that part (though I do have the 1 x 8 versions of it)- I guess every builder's mind is configured somehow to work within his collection. Although I don't recall John Neal (...) (21 years ago, 26-Dec-04, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: MOC: Night Owl

(...) A fitting exchange for the big headed martini-man... Girl Watcher #2: She wasn't even that attractive. But still out of my reach. A sad comment on my life. Girl Watcher #1: Yours and mine both. The good Lord gave me this body, and there ain't (...) (21 years ago, 26-Dec-04, to lugnet.build, FTX)

(...) Kind words from the first lady of party! I find it interesting that the majority of folks who replied to this were people I had a great time with in DC. Makes me think those are fond memories for them as well. Felix (21 years ago, 26-Dec-04, to lugnet.build, FTX)

initial markdowns at one WM store

One WM store I checked this morning had some sets on initial markdown. The toy dept manager told me there would most likely be more sets with price markdowns after the 'January reset' information is received. [LEGOSet 4504] marked to $75 [LEGOSet (...)   Re: How do I power a long track?

(...) John, Two controlers on the same track? In the past, people have always said that two controlers on the same track was a bad idea. The explanation that was put forward was that the controler that was running at a slightly lower voltage would (...) (21 years ago, 26-Dec-04, to lugnet.trains)

  [rtlToronto] Peach sporadically unavailable

Hi folks, Peach will be sporadically up and down these next few days due to a malfunctioning SCSI disk subsystem. A new set of SCSI disks were added from a dying server, and those new disks are causing the old disks some grief. Either way, we'll (...) (21 years ago, 26-Dec-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Two queries: How-to for loco wheels and which app did this?

(...) No, I think he means how do you hold the wheels in place when you have taken them out of the holder. One of the most common techniques as I understand it is to use this piece: [LDrawPart 32028:0] You route the axle through the groove and then (...) (21 years ago, 26-Dec-04, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: Two queries: How-to for loco wheels and which app did this?

(...) LOL, this makes me wonder if you've even seen a lego train :-P I did a brickshelf search, and this pic should clarify everything: (URL) metal axle is clearly visible in this pic. By pulling on the flanges of the wheels, the whole assembly (...) (21 years ago, 26-Dec-04, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Reporting on LDView for Mac OS X

(...) Yeah, that is probably the source of all my current problems... I believe the Mac OS X LDView is version 1 (Alex Raftis wasn't sure what version of code he started with when he ported it). The current version is 3. I believe it is possible to (...) (21 years ago, 26-Dec-04, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

(...) Boas Festas também! (...) (...) Wow, that's a beautiful piece of work! I think you nailed the look quite nicely. Can you tell us more about the multiplexor and the light sensor you did? Also, what did you decide to program him in? Spotlighted, thanks for sharing! (21 years ago, 26-Dec-04, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Just build.....

(...) I don't think the mood here is "LEGO can do no wrong", nor should it be. Constructive feedback is good and LEGO should welcome it. However the mood here, (my read only on this) is that there is less tolerance for people repeating the same (...) (21 years ago, 26-Dec-04, to lugnet.general)
