Re: Pinpoint--entry for the Military Hover Contest

(...) So far it sounds like the tan was a plus. Thanks for the feedback! (21 years ago, 16-Nov-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: LEGO sells "violent" toys?

Wait until this set comes out: (URL) No, that's not a spear, it's a walking stick. And that other one's holding a telescope. Johnathan (21 years ago, 16-Nov-04, to lugnet.mediawatch)

Re: Pinpoint--entry for the Military Hover Contest

(...) Thanks for the feedback! The entire front cowling is set at a downward angle using a pair of click-hinge bricks buried in the middle. It's not too sturdy, but it provides enough headroom for the minifigs while letting the nose come to a sharp (...) (21 years ago, 16-Nov-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Pinpoint--entry for the Military Hover Contest

(...) Great! I was concerned it might not fit with the contest, but I'm glad you liked it. Also my thanks to you for coming up with the idea for the contest, it helped jump-start me into building mode this weekend, and I was pleased with the (...) (21 years ago, 16-Nov-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: New and old to lugnet at the same time :-)

(...) Hi Ross, THANKS! It's actually quite flexible you know, it's not neccessary that it should hang out too much. I've got this idea in my head, but I haven't yet tried it out in real life: Use a jumper plate and fix it into the stud holes between (...) (21 years ago, 16-Nov-04, to lugnet.trains)

Re: New and old to lugnet at the same time :-)

(...) I'm proud of it too :-) (...) No. Actually I just like to see how the 'face' of my new model will look like first, so usually it's the cab that defines my locos shape. this is the only part I do in LDraw. I also test new designs here (...) (21 years ago, 16-Nov-04, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: Aargh...

(...) (snip) (...) Good question, and one you should, in my view, ask first. Often the answer will be some sort of extra payment to your club in addition to the appearance fee. At least that has been the experience of some clubs. Many clubs tend to (...) (21 years ago, 16-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  rcx to rcx

Hi, Last weekend thanks to Ross Crawford’s crane2.c code (URL) figured out how to use The Lego Remote With BrickOS. Now I was hoping to find example code of rcx to rcx communication. I want to send the value of a Rotation sensor to a second rcx for (...) (21 years ago, 16-Nov-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

Re: LEGO's Rescue... Interesting article in the Sunday Times (UK)

(...) SNIP (...) I absolutely agree. Up until a year ago I worked @ W*M for 2 yrs. I would never reccommend it to anyone. If the star were inverted, it would describe the true nature of 'the beast' better. The workers are great, but company policy (...) (21 years ago, 16-Nov-04, to lugnet.mediawatch, FTX)

  Re: LEGO sells "violent" toys?

(...) As I noted in a reply to Larry, I didn't really intend for this thread to turn into a debate, but then I also should have been more careful with my comments. That's what happens when I post early in the morning with my pouty-face, (...) (21 years ago, 16-Nov-04, to lugnet.mediawatch)

  4 new X-pod sets

Does anyone know where you can get the 4 new X-pod sets? I just saw Jon Palmer mention them in his blog yesterday. He had this link: (URL) haven't seen them in any stores, and I didn't find them online at LEGO Shop at Home either. Any "first (...) (21 years ago, 16-Nov-04, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: Aargh...

(...) I'd have to agree that's a point in your favor. Just today I heard a story about a women (I think it was in Virginia) who was arrested for trying to pass a $200 bill with President Bush (!) on the front. She claimed she thought it was real. (...)   Re: V-länkar på Catalina-vingen.

(21 years ago, 16-Nov-04, to lugnet.loc.se)

  Re: tartan paint?

Hi Norbert, I was actually just admiring your pics on Brickshelf the other day, and I liked them so much that I was determined to find out who you are by searching for your name on Lugnet, and voila I found this thread :) I still can't believe (...)   Re: Items removed from Brickshelf

(...) Today people expect a set number on every Lego item. Back in the 50's and 60's that was not the case. Many Lego items were produced back then without numbers. Wooden box sets are a good example. They were produced as numbers: #700, #700K, (...) (21 years ago, 16-Nov-04, to lugnet.general)

  Re: LEGO sells "violent" toys?

(...) My apologies. I think I may have inadvertently spun the thread into a debate mode. In all honesty, that wasn't my intention. I should have just posted the link and kept my comments to a minimum. Regards, Allan B. (21 years ago, 16-Nov-04, to lugnet.mediawatch)

  Re: Aargh...

(...) The kit seemed to be a big success, at least raising some awareness I think. The build area didn't get set up, as I recall, simply due to a lack of available bodies to monitor it. I had intended to bring the bricks to this year's show in case (...) (21 years ago, 16-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: LEGO sells "violent" toys?

(...) Parts of this thread appear to be veering that way, yes.I probably should have set the FUT myself on my post way back up thread. I'll forcefut the thread or parts, if people ask me to offline. (21 years ago, 16-Nov-04, to lugnet.mediawatch, FTX)

Re: LEGO Factory contest MOC: Corner Deli

(...) You know, I would have but the parts palette didn't include trans 1x1 round plate of any color. It was either solid lights or square ones, unfortunately. (...) OK, good to know. Thanks. -jeremiah- (21 years ago, 15-Nov-04, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

  Re: Aargh...

(...) :) Quick, someone get Gargamel some pie. He is getting cranky again! Janey "How many times do I have to say RED not blue Brick?" P.S. Just to clarify, the kids table there was not my idea, I just stepped to the plate with Paul. Just as I (...) (21 years ago, 15-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, FTX)
