  Re: Train Windows service packs

(...) I would not trust Lego to get the color right. Just look at the new train they have. What kind of engine is that supposed to be? If I could trust them to do it right, I wouldn't have to be starting a letter campaign to get these parts packs in (...) (26 years ago, 25-May-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Train Windows service packs

(...) favorite (...) For them to release silver windows is pretty tough. First, it is the most expensive color to do. Second, there isn't enough silver to have trim in silver and the silver bricks were limited edition. Mike (26 years ago, 25-May-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Train Windows service packs

(...) Larry, I wish I had 50 for you. I guess you should focus on the first 25 windows and build just one side. Then you can just sit in a circle and have the train run around you. Pretend you don't know the other side isn't there. :-) (...) Agreed. (...) (26 years ago, 25-May-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Where should I center this one?

(...) Whoops, you're right. But, in the case of the 1x2 plates and bricks, the centerpoint is on level with the top of a plane, and on the rectangular lattice formed by the studs. As for the 2x5 and 2x9 hinge plates, these are a real exception. (...) (26 years ago, 25-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Request to Primitives Committee:

  Re: More train service packs?

(...) there were a lot of train service packs available at Toy retailers. They would have them either hanging from stands, or in a big box underneath the LEGO displays.   Re: Train Windows service packs

Larry's right. In fact, if you want to get picky, look at the American prototype Pullman coaches. The windows are not as big proportionally as TLG has made their train window. I would say a 2x4 train window would be closer. European coaches seem to (...) (26 years ago, 25-May-99, to lugnet.trains)

Hi Mike, Having had a 6399 in the same state, and watched it till the battery went dead, I say you'll get over it and sell it for $500 like I did. If there was any way to have it run without relying on battery power, I'd say keep it. Mark H. (...) (26 years ago, 25-May-99, to lugnet.general)

Well the AS (AucZILLA Standard) gets a little skewed on occasion. I, myself am a good reason why. Hey Larry, How many were in that wheels pack. I found 5 or 6 in a small collection I got from a mate over here and I'm trying to track down the sets they are from. They were in a 118 Electronic Engine box but this set doesn't use them. So what do (...) (26 years ago, 25-May-99, to lugnet.general)
