  Re: ldao 2.0.1 runtime error

(...) How about if I just put a notice in the 'New Version Available' announcement: "post bug reports (and questions) as follow-up to this notice"? That's just one less thread to manage. Steve (26 years ago, 24-Jan-99, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: ldao 2.0.1 runtime error

(...) I just keep the source code handy. Actually, I do keep two versions installed. But one is the latest published version, and the second is my most recent compile, which usually has fixes for the bugs in the published version. (...) Yeah^3. (26 years ago, 24-Jan-99, to lugnet.cad)

Mike's Brick Sale II - Electric Boogaloo

Well, I've finally got things ready for my new bricks sale. After all the problems people had with the Javascript form (which most people were polite enough to point out, and some rude enough to actually scream at me about) and older browsers, I've (...)   Re: Wirz LMD18200

I'm not familiar with the Wirz board, however the board I built used the regular "motor output" of the handyboard with no modification required. The trick was to use an opto-isolator to "recover" the forward and backward logic states. That was done (...) (26 years ago, 24-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: batteries port

(...) That sounds like too much voltage for the HB. I think I remember reading that the HB runs on up to 12 V max. Check the Handy Board Technical Reference. There are much better ways to run motors that require higher voltages. Try using a separate (...) (26 years ago, 24-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: Ball gear

(...) The "ball gear" part is used to transfer rotation momentum to a tilted axle. In the 8880 Supercar (URL) is used to make steering wheel drive.   Re: Ball gear

If it is the one I am thinking of it does not mesh well with any of the other standard gears. This part is meant to be placed in the middle of a ring with 4 ball joints sticking off the outside edge. It is used to adjust a helicopter cyclic in the (...) (26 years ago, 24-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: AC Adapter Specs?

I have looked on the RCX and I've noticed it does say "9-12V ~". From what I've gathered the "~" means polarity doesn't matter. My concern is the mA rating of 9 volt adapters. Radio Shack has about 6 different types each with a unique mA rating. (...) (26 years ago, 24-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Ball gear

I got a ball gear with some set the other day, and it seemed like a useful part. On the set it is just a decorative "knob" thing, but i should believe it is useful for something beyond that. I cant get it to mesh properly with ordinary gears. Any (...) (26 years ago, 24-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  AC Adapter Specs?

I know that this has probably been discussed before but I'm unable to find old threads about this. What are the exact specifications for an AC adapter for the RCX? I've heard that polarity doesn't matter and that any 9 volt adapter will do. I'm (...) (26 years ago, 24-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)
