Re: Hidden Technic Kits for 2000

(...) Thanks for the input. I'll stick with the Planos for now. But the Lego suitcase looks pretty cool. Maybe it's because I also have a lot of DeWalt power tools, and they all have the same types of cases, along with that mesmerizing electric (...) (26 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Cheap Fiber Optic Cable

Has anybody made a successfull fiberoptic cable to link the scout and micro scout? I was thinking when I remember these old toys they use to make. They were a flash light with lots of plastic strings coming out. This would create a cool effect when (...) (26 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Need help with my program

I just started with NQC and attempted to make a light-seeking program. It is supposed to go forward for a wile and them stop and then turn a little, check the light level, turn again, check again and keep doing it until it gets darker then the last (...)   Re: Booth monitors and crowd control

(...) I can do this!!! I have 2 or 3 large signs from the Shell station outside Fresno that was Mike's main supplier. I can make a tall pole (1" diam) with a crosspiece to hold the signs. Paul Sinasohn (26 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

Well, they must be CERTIFIED as flame retardant, which means more than just being so. Also, what is wrong with people seeing my legs? :-) Mike Benz, Mark <Mark.Benz@BroadVision.com> wrote in message news:FB90BFF591F3D31...ion.com... (...) (26 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

Re: RC control on Pneumatics, gearboxes and polarity switches

(...) Not to worry, I've been using that equipment for long and are well in to the laws and such here in Sweden. It's in a legal and open, free band with no restrictions at all. No one uses that frequency for airplanes anymore here in Sweden, and if (...) (26 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: BayLUG/BayLTC next meeting? (GATS)

FYI, The Great American Train Show (GATS) will be in the Bay Area the weekend following Thanksgiving, at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton. NO, I'm not suggesting that we exhibit. ;-) I'm just pointing out that there may be a date (...) (26 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

  Booth monitors (look and feel)

Tom McDonald reminds me of another point; When you are in the middle of a layout, folks presume that you are in charge...but when you are on the outside, it is easy for visitors to think other club members are 'just visitors' when we're all dressed (...)   RE: Booth monitors (look and feel)

Actually, John Neal ("J-2") ( johnneal@uswest.net ) is the GMLTC person to contact. He runs a tshirt screening business out of his home, and has contacts for embroidering shirts. He could probably give you estimated costs, timeframes, etc... I think (...) (26 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

Re: TLG Does Listen to us. (if not officaly)

(...) While that would be kinda neat, I hope they don't get too caught up in licensing other people's ideas, though. They'd be losing the LEGO 'brand' that they've been working hard to establish. I'd much rather see something they came up with on (...) (26 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

I lived in Japan for a year, full emersion, and am conversationally capable (not quite fluent) in the language, and I've been complemented often on my Japanese accent and a couple of times mistaken for a native speaker on the phone by native (...)   RE: Autonomous Robot

I had a similar idea, but I was picturing a funnel-shaped mirror above a light sensor so that no matter what angle you hit it at the light is reflected down at the sensor. -----Original Message----- From: Ian Warfield [mailto:ipw47@hotmail.com] (...) (26 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) But in the story as it stands, there aren't many places for subtitles. Boss Nass could be a possibility, but I don't think the plot would have been better served by having JarJar speak in full Gungan with subtitling. Any inclusion of JarJar at (...)   Re: does anyone actually play this?...

(...) ...ahha :-) Rich was using this layout. I like it. The non-symetrical sides make for interesting approach, I would think. But there's no center attacker :-/ (I wish u could line up a small base on the midline of the side of a big base :-( (...) (26 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.sports)
