  Lord of the Rings

Dear Lego I would like to make a suggestion that I'm sure has been made here before (but I don't have time to check the archives to see what was said). I think that LEGO should buy the rights for the upcoming "Lord of the Rings" movie. This movie is (...) (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: The 42nd Marine Unit "Screamin' Balrogs"

(...) Really? It shares a lot of the same features- Big Jets exhausts pointing at skewed angles to the trooper, over-the-shoulder intakes, etc. It's very evocative of the GW one, although there are also several differences. (...) Yeah- the new (...) (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Lord of the Rings

(...) I heartily second this. Aaron West (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Brickmania calls it quits on custom model kits

(...) I will include instructions for the Windmill (it's just waiting for a few parts to be done), but I'm not sure about the Chruch as that one could be a CD-Rom in it's own right! Dan (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: Help!

Well I would vote for tripod (www.tripod.com) There I have had the best luck so far. It has FTP so you can move your site fast and easy and you can install custom cgi's and everything. And if you get enough hits they will PAY you $$$$ for hosting (...) (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: Some CW character teasers

(...) . (...) Chris, Great teaser! I like your character descriptions, the different personalities, character conflicts, and hints of danger to come, are very interesting. I hope you can get some pictures you like soon, I'm eager to see your (...) (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

  Re: New train MOCs

(...) The enclosed car carriers, Autoracks, are about 90' long, and they dwarf the signle door box cars on the trains that I see. I know...you are talking about box cars, but I had nothing to say about box cars that had not alread been said... (...) (...) (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Dark Side Developer Kit

Hi, I just talked to a very friendly Lego customer services representative in Canada regarding the set 9754 (Dark Side Developer Kit). She told me that Lego (Connecticut, US) has some on hands now but very few. As far as Canada is concerned, the set (...) (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: New train MOCs

Preliminary tests suggest that my design idea may work. The problem is that if I use 2 3x3 wing plates with a 1 stud gap between them the mechanism is 7 studs wide. Obviously, 7 studs wide is not going to work on a 6-wide design. On an 8-wide design (...) (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Is this piece currently available?

(...) IIRC, 2963, the Extreme Racer, has two, and may be avialable for clearance, at least I picked one up at Target on clearance. George (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general, lugnet.db.inv)

  Re: My Site Updated

(...) some (...) Anthony, I enjoyed the longer villain descriptions. The way you have thought out each part of Ethelred's army is terrific. -L (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: cybermaster

Hi Laurentino :) As you know (if you remember) I also have a CyberMaster. I prefered the RF-link to the IR-link, primarily because of the mobility and freedom it would give to the robot, and the processing power of the PC. My current (looong) (...) (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Harry Potter Figures

(...) What do you think of the possibility the Harry Potter line might replace Castle the same way that Star Wars has replaced Space? I don't really know enough about the Harry Potter books/movies to tell if that would be a problem, but I'd much (...) (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.castle)

OT: Kafka (era Re: lego bulk)

Nel racconto si narra di una colonia penale in cui un "geniale" inventore ha concepito una macchina che incide ripetutamente nella schiena del condannato le ragioni della sua sentenza di morte.   Re: Directions are on the way...

I don't think we're going to make it to the BBQ. Karen's new store [1] just opened, and she's extremely busy and exhausted both at once, so we need the weekend for quiet relaxation. See you all at the next meeting, though! [1] Little plug -- Karen (...) (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  Re: Harry Potter Figures

(...) It shouldn't replace it. While Hogwart's is described as a "castle", and the students carry wands and are wizards, it's definitely set in a modern period. eric (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Lord of the Rings

I agree! _Lord of the Rings_ is such a huge and detailed world, just imagine all the possibilities for mini-figs and playsets! If they do make _Lord of the Rings_ LEGO they would, like you said, have HUGE, HUGE success! (...) (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Chicago Legofest - UPDATE
