Hi I used a normal 9V battery instead of the six 1.5V ("six pack") and that works well if you hook up the 9V connection well. I went by the ol' art supply store last night and got some. They work pretty well, though you have to have a steady hand because the tip isn't exactly fine point. The Marauder is based on the Macross Zentraedi Officer's Battle Pod. Here's a nice pic with some good detail.
