Re: A possible way to get cheaper sets?

(...) James Howse has already established that LA are not interested in retail sales, and unfortunately they'd classify us as retail, no matter how formalised we became. I think this proposal is a dead horse. I'm still going to work on the LEGO room (...) (26 years ago, 1-May-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

(...) intact (...) Thanks Lindsay, I'm sure we would love access to some of the LSAH stuff, especially service packs etc. The new Adventurers sounds interesting too. We probably wanted to ask this before, but thought it would put people out. (...) (26 years ago, 1-May-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

RE: A possible way to get cheaper sets?

There is one way around this...Could we start our own 'toy store'? I think we'd have better lucky with this approach. Unfortunately, I don't know what this would involve cost-wise, although I think LA requires you have a $6000 balance with them :( (...) (26 years ago, 1-May-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: A possible way to get cheaper sets?

Ok combine all these ideas together: How about starting up a non-affiliated service such as Australian Construction Bricks On-line (etc..) We could run mail order and internet orders and all we'd need is minimal storage space. Hang on, does this (...) (26 years ago, 1-May-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Anyone interested in BrikWars?

(...) I haven't heard back from you over e-mail - are we on for Sunday, May 7th? I just finished a fantastic new Japanese monastery today, it's not at all defensible, and I've manned it with a force absolutely not equipped for base defense. As such, (...)   "Graham Rawle's Lost Consonants"

"Graham Rawle's Lost Consonants" is a weekly item in a newspaper I read. Each week a sentence is given, and GR removes a consonant to show how it can changes the meaning.   Re: A possible way to get cheaper sets?

(...) Should be no skin off anyones nose. We place a large order with the toy store, pay up front and they pass the kits on. As long as the store realises we are not reselling in their catchment area, what could their problem possibly be. No nasty (...) (26 years ago, 1-May-00, to lugnet.loc.au)
