There is one way around this...Could we start our own 'toy store'? I think
we'd have better lucky with this approach. Unfortunately, I don't know what
this would involve cost-wise, although I think LA requires you have a $6000
balance with them :( If we worked together, would this be feasible? [I don't
know if a store is a requirement or not though]

A second alternative is to try and find a local toy store, and see if they
will get in large orders for you at their cost + a small %. This would still
be cheaper for us, as well as getting the store extra income without the
hassle of shelf space. The only problem is that whoever can do this has to
get the orders organized, and there would be postage costs.

Just wondering if anyone has looked into what is involved • in getting sets

run in Sydney, this cost could be fairly low]

Anyway, just a thought.

Our NSW group keep talking about this.
It's worth a formal approach I think, and our patronage • deserves special

I'm certainly willing to run it/get it started, but we will • need to formalise
the group a bit more (...ick).

James Howse has already established that LA are not
interested in retail
sales, and unfortunately they'd classify us as retail, no matter how
formalised we became. I think this proposal is a dead horse.
I'm still going
to work on the LEGO room proposal at LAHQ. It's worth a shot.
Just need some
time to work up the proposal.
