  Re: (Movie) Mission to Mars

(...) floor (...) Well, we saw it. Wait while I sharpen my knives... *SPOILER ALERT* *SPOILER ALERT* *SPOILER ALERT* *SPOIL---aw, forget it. Spoilers would've saved me from seeing this movie. It wasn't worth seeing it on the big screen -- the (...) (26 years ago, 23-Mar-00, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Building my train table

I built about 5 of those style tables. They seemed quite more work than they should be, but maybe I am just not very proficient at woodworking. (Probably the latter). If you want easy tables, make them with 3/4" plywood and use 2x4s on their edge to (...) (26 years ago, 23-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Legomodules

Larry & JohnG, Thanks for pointing out these pictures. I think these pictures will help those of us who have not seen these wonderful displays at a train show. Those GMLTC pictures are stunning... Now I understand the need for standards beyond (...) (26 years ago, 23-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: (Movie) Mission to Mars

(...) That reminds me... :) A few years back, there was this really cheesy (IMHO) sci-fi movie called _Time Runner_ -- starred Mark Hamill and Rae Dawn Chong. Didn't catch it in the theatre, but the viddy box had this to say: "A cut above most time (...) (26 years ago, 23-Mar-00, to lugnet.space, lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Part on hold

I have been working on the large pneumatics cylinder, but it has been boring me for a while, and I don't need it right now, so I'll put it on the shelf for a while. If anyone wants to continue, I'll gladly hand over the little I have on it. (...) (26 years ago, 23-Mar-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  part number confirmation

  Re: For the record

I'd like to applaud Tim and Todd on this issue ... I think it's very encouraging to see individuals taking a stand to respect the position of another (person, company, whatever), when doing so might run contrary to their own benefits.   Is 8479 Barcode Multi Set worth buying?

I've read mixed reviews about 8479 Barcode Set, but I can't help but be fascinated by the mechanism that lifts objects over the cab of the truck into the back. Is it a worthwhile investment? What I'd ultimately like to build is a garbage truck - (...) (26 years ago, 23-Mar-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Building my train table

2. Get some Birch faced plywood. It has a closed grain that will take primer and paint well, or if that is too expensive, just get some plain old plywood. Make sure to use primer if you use the plain stuff, so that the grain will be hidden. Build (...) (26 years ago, 23-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains)
