Off-topic - help an American with German

Hello, I was wondering if any of you German Lego enthusiasts would like to help out an American studying German. For our class, we have to write short essays (75-250 words) once or twice a week. I am not very good at German grammer, especially the (...) (26 years ago, 31-Jan-00, to lugnet.loc.de)

  Re: De-lurk

Welcome Alan! Sounds like you have a great *starter* set-up;-) So you say you are not on the dark side yet, but I say give it a try. Start out with a box car. Kitbash your sliding doors from one of your boxcars and see what you can do. Basically, I (...) (26 years ago, 31-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: The Verneer Chronices - Chapter 1

(...) Wow - keep up the good work. I can't wait for chapter 2. You'll have to tell us all how you made the blurs. They're great! Was Kate's torso custom made? I think it was. Do tell how it was done. Eagerly waiting - <<KM>> (26 years ago, 31-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

(...) Well I can speculate, although I don't play Todd on TV, even... If you view the page source for the page I refed, the phrase: "You may be able to buy this set online from *eToys*" (where eToys is the hyper link expands to: <UL TYPE=SQUARE> (...) (...) Thanks ... I got a hold my Cyberstudio and touched the page up a lil bit (spell check, background, one column - the good stuff;) The forest took some bricks from Naboo Swamps as well as arches from ... I dunno;) The movements was kind of (...) (26 years ago, 31-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

  [CW] Links

I hope the links from the member's page are the way they should be. I took Frank's advice and use the "Target = "_top" on them. If you want to link to Castle World and want to use our banner, you can find a section I made specifically about that on (...) (26 years ago, 31-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Pantograph suggestions ?

The shoe is the hard part. Getting to the shoe seems pretty straightforward. Look at how the croc or metroliner does it. (URL) shows the croc pretty clearly. (wasn't there an alternate model for this set???) All those parts except the shoe (top (...) (26 years ago, 31-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Who oversees the rec.toys.LEGO newsgroup?

Lindsay, I think we are talking semantics here, and I can mostly be blamed for the confusion due to my less than accademic-standard grasp of the written and spoken word. (...)   WTB: 4558 metroliner

Does anyone in here willing to sell me a new 4558 Metroliner. I've been following the ebay auctions for a while and I found that there aren't many metroliner seller who would ship to Canada, while others willing to ship internationally are from (...)   Ideas with Technic Steering Wheels

While I was building a lego Technic Ferrari, it was time I put in the steering wheel. I first used one of the black beams (forgot their name >.<), but I noticed how staright and un-atractive it looked. I then tried to tilt the steering wheel up, but (...) (...) Really? Out of curiosity, I checked the NameDB(1), and this is what it lists: Name Origin Sex Meaning Variations Shiri Hebrew Female My song Shira, Shirah, Shirit I never even considered it could be a male name. Can it be? It doesn't list that (...) (26 years ago, 31-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

Hi Roger, This sounds interesting. Unfortunately, I don't have any experience with Beacon mapping, though I hope to explore it some time in the future.   why is the large teal wheel in the robotic discovery set mislabeled?

The larger teal hub wheel in the RDS (the larger wheel visible in (URL) is marked 20x30 on the sidewall. By my measurement it's close to 50mm in diameter. Every other wheel I have is correctly marked. What's the deal? --Ben (26 years ago, 31-Jan-00, to lugnet.technic)
