Ironclad _La Gloire_ virtually complete--mini-page up —Lindsay Frederick Braun
Hi, _La Gloire_ is now in Phase Nine, meaning it has almost all the bells and whistles an ironclad might need. Everything from lifeboat davits that lower, a complete stern gallery, coal chutes, boiler room, to a dozen cannon, a fairly complete (...)      Zowee! That's awesome, Lindsay. Gotta hand it to you, for a minute there I was considering changing themes to pirates ;-) All seriousness aside, that's really beautiful. I love the boat-lowering feature (I hate technic as is, but I sure do (...) (24 years ago, 11-Mar-00, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.boats, lugnet.build)

Re: Ironclad 'La Gloire' —Lindsay Frederick Braun
(...) I don't know how I figured it out--must have been realising that you need to hinge them above the bottom (third peghole up). From there, it's just a few bricks away to working davits. I'd wrestled with that one for a long time--in fact, since (...) (24 years ago, 12-Mar-00, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.boats)

Re: Ironclad 'La Gloire' —Lindsay Frederick Braun
(...) Ah. On the Qui-Gon head, you've got me. But the other parts are also known from many other sets--especially the big shuttle from several years ago, that had *six* (!) of the half-cylinders and a bunch of 4x4 rounds.     (...) I'll see if I can get any.
