Hi all,

you will find more new 2001 images on the following website:
www.1000steine.de !

It's obviously scans taken from the full german '2001-1' catalogue, but as
there is still no "real" Technic in there, I'm sure the 2001-2 catalogue
will bring us more new stuff.

Credits for the images go to René Hoffmeister, webmaster@1000steine.de .

Cool! Interesting stuff:

Belville:

5831: Looks like a new dog, translucent 3+ flowers!, not sure what that
butterfly is, but it might make a good castle denizen.

5832: I think those teacups are huge, I think the "saucer" is the 4x4
dish that is often used in Scala for a lampshade. The teacups might work
well in minifig scale for an amusement park ride...

5833: Not too much, another one of those butterflies, looks like some
translucent 1x1s or something

5834: A new trans blue 6x6 roof, the vacuum formed cave in another paint
job, swing set frame in blue

Alpha-Team:

6772: antifreeze 1x1x4 antenna,

67774: some kind of 6x6 round part I think

Creator:

The figures look larger than minifigs, could be Fabuland style.

4116: white picket fence, grey 3+ elephant head (previously available in
a not very realistic blue), could that be the indian buffalo headdress?,
perhaps in a new color

4118: yellow picket fence

4172: white picket fence, here we can see the figure, it's definitely
not a minifig, but look more realistic than Fabuland, could be used as
giants in minifig land.

4176: yellow picket fence, white lampposts

Mars:

7315: I think that solar canopy might be foam, I think I see the buttons
that Scala uses with the foam holding it on in the corners

Star Wars:

7106: When I first saw this in the other catalog, it looked like the
base had a Tie Fighter slope like thing, in this picture it looks like 4
white 2x2 inverse corner slopes

DUPLO:

Those sets look pretty neat. Is this the first appearance of Octan in
DUPLO?

DUPLO Puppen:

Looks like some huge dolls. One set looks like it has the baby red
dinosaur.

Frank

I'm getting nostalgic for Micronauts, looking at (URL) 7311 has two gray half-round top 1x2. Yum! Life on Mars: spare parts for Castle? It might not be out of the question. (24 years ago, 5-Nov-00, to lugnet.year.2001, lugnet.general)
