Re: What is with the Technic Stormtrooper?

(...) True, true (like in the Wassup ad) There are several problems that now plagues the Technic Sets (yes I am a fan and yes I will own those two). First: where are the studs? This is how a Lego brick is recognized worldwide. Bring back the studded (...) (26 years ago, 29-Oct-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.technic, lugnet.year.2001)

  Re: Alpha Team Equipment

(...) Yeah, but I bet some careful application of Brasso would help with that little skin condition. (26 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.year.2001)

  Re: bionicles

(...) Not Japanese. (The Japanese language has no 'l' sound (it would be writen 'r'), plus the 'tu' syllable is questionable (it would be pronounced 'tsu').) Looks more Polynesian to me. And the story sounds Polynesian. I think the original (...) (26 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.year.2001)

Re: New Things in Certain Colours (was: rare colours in: Life on Mars)

(...) I thought the purple was the McDonalds Happy Meal #5 (grimace) Purple. If so, that would be great. That was an awesome color. KL (26 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.space, lugnet.year.2001)

  Re: 4th Imperial shuttle figure....

----- Original Message ----- From: "Greg Majewski" <citrusx__@yahoo.com> (...) Actually, when the rebels landed on the moon of Endor to take out the shield generator, Han piloted the Shuttle that they had captured from the Imperials. -Andy Lynch (26 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.year.2001, lugnet.starwars, lugnet.general)

  Re: 4th Imperial shuttle figure....

(...) Well, IIRC, there was actually a scene in one of the movies with Chewie in an AT-ST and I'm pretty sure that Han was never in the shuttle. My guess is it's a generic Imperial officer like the generic Theed guard in the Flash Speeder that is in (...) (26 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.year.2001, lugnet.starwars, lugnet.general)

New Things in Certain Colours (was: rare colours in: Life on Mars)

(...) The purple looks like the pastel lavender I get out of Belville sets, but that pink is a bit odd--if you look at Scala it has two sorts of pink, and I gather that the Life on Mars pink is the lighter of these two. (...) Check this out: I think (...) (26 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.space, lugnet.year.2001)

  Re: 4th Imperial shuttle figure....

(...) This might be a long shot, but what about Han being in the cockpit? I know it wouldn't make sense with the other figs being Palpatine and the guards, but if they put Chewie with the AT-ST, why not Han with the shuttle? Two white throwbot feet are in the Mindstorms R2D2 Droid Developers kit. You'll enjoy it more than swiping the crotch off a stormtrooper. -gyug (...) (26 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.technic, lugnet.year.2001)

Re: How many hands does Palpatine have?

You're the first, again. (; It keeps happening to Palpatine: he's like the guy who is forced to relive his last hour over and over. Each time the catalog hits a new set of eyes, bam! it's a fresh slate of four hands. Have pity on him. (But then, he (...) (26 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.year.2001)

How many hands does Palpatine have?

Fellows, I dunno if anyone noticed this yet, but looking at the catalogue picture it seems that Palpatine has four hands- two black and two yellow. Any ideas on how this happened? Chris (26 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.year.2001)

  Re: 4th Imperial shuttle figure....

(...) The hands in the cockpit do indeed look yellow, but I'd bet real money (if I had any) that the fig in the cockpit is a classic smiley, not Palp's scowling face. And he's wearing a hat, not a hood. It's not Palp. (26 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.starwars, lugnet.year.2001)

  Re: Sorting the new Subthemes

(...) I hope not. I'd like to see it tie in with last year's Space Port stuff -- that seems very natural. I'm surprised they gave it different number. I guess I'll have to buy a lot. :) (...) This seems to be something like Rock Raiders -- a (...) (26 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.space, lugnet.town, lugnet.year.2001)

rare colours in: Life on Mars

Hi Paul, (...) From what I can see this "pink" is not from the Belville or Paradisa line (and I own a lot of these). Instead, my guess is that it's one of the 'unpink' light red Scala colours that were released in 1997 and 1998 which were then (...) (26 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.space, lugnet.year.2001)

  Re: Sorting the new Subthemes

(...) My thoughts are: Life on Mars is designed to be a short-lived (1-2 years) play theme completely separate from Space or Town. The set numbers we know so far are 7310, 7311, 7312, 7313, 7314, 7315, 7316, and 7317 -- the smallest being 7310 and (...)   Re: My Space Theme Wish for 2001

(...) Yeah, bacteria can survive a lot of stuff. I wouldn't be surprised. However, I'd also assume that 1) if they're food bacteria, they're not going to really be a big problem, and 2) any food they had would be sealed, not stored on top of the (...)   Re: My Space Theme Wish for 2001

(...) They did specifically address the temperature, and the robust cosmonaut compared it to a cold Russian winter. In addition, they'd turned the thermostat on his suit way up to preserve his core temp. I'm sure he couldn't have lasted long, even (...)
