that seems very natural. I'm surprised they gave it different number.

This seems to be something like Rock Raiders -- a multimedia (in the
literal sense) concept theme, with Lego sets and computer software (and
books and movies? not yet....).
This is why the minifigs are so wacky looking -- they're _characters_, (pun
only slightly intended), with personalities strongly defined by Lego. (In
contrast to the named characters from adventurers, etc., which are left
mainly to the imagination.)
I think this probably one of Lego's better recent ideas (although it's too
bad the sets are so juniorized), and I'm totally expecting to see new
concept sets like this yearly for the next few years at least.
Furthermore, I suspect that there will never be any more "Underground" sets.
It might make sense to move rockraiders to .concepttheme.rockraiders, and
make a new .concepttheme.alphateam. ("concepttheme" isn't a very good word,
but it's the best I can think of right now).
