| | Re: Help required
|
| (...) I think this might be in the FAQ... yes, here it is: (URL) has put a great deal of effort into this FAQ and I cannot speak highly enough of its utility. It is a great place to see if your questions are answered. Anyway you do see the tires (...) (23 years ago, 6-Jan-02, to lugnet.trains)

| | The Ruby Runner
|
| I was recently commissioned to create a red version of my Henry Dreyfuss inspired streamlined hudson, named 'The Ruby Runner'. To get my mind off of the death of 9v trains I decided to share the pictures of the finished product. So here it is: (...) (17 years ago, 2-Oct-07, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.general, FTX)

| | Re: German Steam Engine BR50: MOC finished
|
| (...) Thanks! It is just the "competition" among uns fans, that make our models so good (and still better and better). I am daily amazed what a development in building has been taken place during the few past lugnet years. (...) I think the fun with (...) (23 years ago, 20-Jan-02, to lugnet.trains)

| | Brickworld Keynote - Updates on the Future of 9V Trains?
|
| I was reading the Telegraph's article on Brickworld, and it mentions that the keynote speaker, Richard Stollery, was grilled on pressing issues such as the future of LEGO Trains and female minifigures. Could someone who attended the event please (...) (17 years ago, 27-Jun-07, to lugnet.trains)

| | Re: How did James Mathis make his tilting trains?
|
| I have not posted any construction details of the tilting mechanism. They will come. I have the model cast in MLCad form, but I still need to spend a fair amount of time generating and refining any instructions. I will say that the full train is (...) (23 years ago, 9-Feb-02, to lugnet.trains)

| | An updated reciprocal point motor design with semaphore
|
| I decided to combine Jeff Elliott's and Steve Ringe's recent point motor designs. Jeff's contained most of the features I was looking for: 1. Reciprocal motion - current from a power source can be applied in a single direction to throw the switch in (...) (23 years ago, 28-Mar-02, to lugnet.trains)

Other than durability of the tape (which you'll be testing later), how does it work from an electrical standpoint? Same as (...) (17 years ago, 3-Oct-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

| | PNLTC gathering to build a helix at Ben Fleskes's
|
| Here's a few pictures I took of the April 17th PNLTC gathering where we built a helix for Ben Fleskes: (URL) had a lot of fun running trains up and down. It took almost 20 seconds for a car to coast down the whole thing. We played with a variety of (...) (22 years ago, 18-Apr-02, to lugnet.trains)

| | Re: Under Hanging Train Idea: v1 Concept design

| (...) Yeah, powering the train was a primary design target. I went with 9v track as most readily available power source for me. However, I haven't solved the clearance issue of the 9v track power connectors sticking out and interfering with the car (...) (22 years ago, 18-Apr-02, to lugnet.trains)
