  Re: Find my train

  Wire routing

It has been a really long time since I've posted in .trains seeking help! (maybe never, I forget) :) So, anyway, here's the sitch. I have a diesel loco I am building. As many of you know, I usually don't use baseplates (and since this one needs (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jan-05, to lugnet.trains)

4 train motors to trade for RC track

hey Guys, I am clearing out what is left of my 9v train stuff and i'm looking for RC track. The more I can get the better. I have 4 9v train motors available. My preference is RC straight track but I would also be willing to trade for an equivalent (...) (12 years ago, 26-Nov-12, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, lugnet.trains)

  Re: Lessons learned in pre-school

(...) I don't know why LEGO don't provide a voltage regulator. We pay a high price for the power unit and you can get a voltage regulator for a few pounds/dollars. At 9V the train goes too fast at full speed on a normal length of track and a normal (...) (20 years ago, 10-Jan-05, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Transformer Power

(...) Are you using the standard transformer with the controller? If so, the rating is 7VA, which will probably give about half an amp at 9V after losses. With a more powerful transformer you could get a bit more out of the controller as others have (...) (20 years ago, 5-Jan-05, to lugnet.trains)

Peumatic Train (again) - Definitely a WIP

So I'll just use LUGNET as my blogging software :) As like so many of my fellow LEGO builders out in the world, there are so many things I want to build/tackkle/just do, but time is a very scarce and precious commodity (with that, if anyone has a (...)   Re: How do I power a long track?

(...) What sort of trains are you running? The advice depends on this as it specifies the power requirement. My layout has a circuit of 106 pieces of track and I use parallel-connected feed wires, one at each end, so that the through-sidings on each (...) (20 years ago, 27-Dec-04, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Continous operation

(...) Torsten Wernecke has done lots of 'testing' while he ran 9V trains night and day in a window display. An old and used 9V motor in a 4564 engine with several (quite light!) waggons behind, survived half a year of permanent driving at ca half (...) (22 years ago, 6-Sep-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Is 12v compatible with 9v???

(...) There are no electical wheels in 12v (or 4.5v). All wheels are plastic. Power pickup comes from conductors between the rails negating the need for power pick-up from the wheels. 9v trains use the wheels of the motor for power pickup. Neither (...)
