IndyLUG shows at GATS, January 3-4

The Indianapolis area LEGO Club (IndyLUG) once again set up a train layout at the Great American Train Show. As you can see from the picture below, IndyLUG won second place.   Re: an 'improved' coupler design

(...) Neat find. Thanks for sharing. I am thinking that judicious use of these would allow very very long trains to be run. (...) I hope you do! (21 years ago, 5-Jan-04, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

(...) Glad you like it. Amazing, eh? Well, perhaps that is due in part to a liberal use of non-standard color elements. In particular, I used red 9v train motor decorative side pieces.   New MOC: 4-8-4 Northern

Hi All, Well, after at least 8 months of on-again off-again effort, I've finally finished up my 4-8-4 Northern Steam Engine: (URL) The most amazing thing to me was the sheer size of the engine; I stayed true to a minifig-compatible scale of a little (...) (...) Hi Lar, Thank for the feedback. One of the big (HA!) disadvantages to building to this scale is that everything else has to grow along with it. That is, any train-related building has to get larger in order to fit in scale-wise, which gets (...) (21 years ago, 3-Jan-04, to lugnet.trains, FTX)
