Hello Egil
A very good start for the new year. A great model Egil. I like the subject. I
immediately recognised your train as a model of the Arlanda Express. Why have
you chosen to model this exciting train?
The idea to model an underground station is marvellous. I can see that the
characteristic big advertising panels on the walls are present. It must have
been tricky to photograph the inside.
I can see that you have used SNOT also for the windows apart from the nose area.
Creating realistic windows on Lego-trains is always difficult, but I think you
have managed very well to get the right feeling in your model.
Have you tested to use dark grey plates for the roof (it looks darker in the
reference photos). Another idea could be to use the 1x1 yellow tile with a black
4 on it in the front, or to experiment with the Modified Brick 2 x 1 with Curved
Top (6091) to round the front a bit
I am looking forward to many more creations from you in the future
Best regards from Goteborg

| (...) I wanted to model a train, and since my big brother (Esben Kolind) already built most of the danish trains ((URL) I searched the internet for inspiration and came across the Arlanda Express. I've never been in Stockholm, actually. (...) Thank (...) (21 years ago, 1-Jan-04, to lugnet.trains)
