  Micro train by Moko

Hey all, I don't regularly read .trains, so forgive me if this is a repeat, but check out Moko's (URL) mini-train>. I think the engine has been on Brickshelf for a while, but the passenger car is new. Also, he's added some very clear (URL) (...) I agree that for playability its one of the better sets. But, I think the 4564 Engine is the best of the 9v trains. (...) (26 years ago, 17-Oct-98, to lugnet.trains)

(...) I've been thinking about this one. In the current state of LDCC, a fully automated and LDCC-integrated (and pure LEGO) crossing gate could look something like this (ASCII art follows): Train presence sensor------+-------+ + RCX 1 | (...) (21 years ago, 7-Sep-03, to lugnet.trains)

  Canadian Pacific

Hi It is not often that I post here on .trains but I certainly lurk around! However, I would like to reveal my attempt at the Canadian Pacific Alco FA-1, ca. 1969. There is a lot of artistic licence involved in the build and I am sure it could be a (...) (19 years ago, 3-Aug-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Hi to all. I'm not really into trains at all, but my nephews asked me to try to find a replacement motor for this set they have. #6399 Airport Shuttle The motor (or reduction gearing) is seized up solid. I think the set is not made anymore. I was (...) (25 years ago, 10-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)

The End of 9 Volt? (was: Re: Train motors half price via S@H weekly special)

(...) Hmmm. That is an interesting scenario. I'm just sitting here thinking what I would do in that event. I always sort of pitied the folks who still decided to run the old 12 volt trains. It just seemed so doomed; when stuff broke down, that was (...) (19 years ago, 3-Aug-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: LEGO trains...The Future of Model Railroading?

(...) I disagree. We are all here because we enjoy LEGO. Trains just happens to be one theme in the LEGO family. Why should we rush out and bring in non-LEGO material? For instance, I hear plenty of grumbling in .SW about the lack of blasters, but (...) (25 years ago, 23-Nov-99, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Congrats. My earliest memories of model train layouts were the ones at the Ohio State Fair more than twenty years ago. I never dreamed there would one day be Lego trains on display there! Spencer (19 years ago, 5-Aug-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)
