Arn't? What was I thinking? That is what I get for typing with one hand.
I'm looking at my 2000 pitsco-dacta catalog (because young minds matter)
Here are all the electrical parts, numbers, and prices.
Lego Solar Cell #979912 $35
Lego Capacitor #979916 $15
1x2 lamp brick 9v (2 pcs) D970005 $10
Lamps and fittings (3 9v lamps, 3 collectors, 3 clear 1x2 bricks)
D779848 $24.50
9 Volt connecting leads (11 3/8" (1), 21 3/4" (1), 51 1/2" (1) )
D779897 $13
9 Volt long connecting leads (10', 2 pcs) D779898 $13
9 Volt motor (non gear reducing) D775114 $17.50
9 Volt motor (with gear reduction) D775225 $16.25
9 Volt micro-motor D775119 $10.25
I've been trying to come up with a use for that capacitor, but I havn't had
too much luck. I was trying to come up with a solution to help out a motor on
a curve, when the resistance to the train increases the most. I'm sure
someone else will be able to figure that one out.

| The capacitor can be used to run lights in a train if you run an RCX to power the rails - that way, the lights will be full brightness. That's assuming the cap has a diode to allow current only one way, otherwise you'd have to add one to the wire (...) (25 years ago, 30-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains)

| They arn't on the web site, I have only seen them in the spare parts area in the catalog. They have two different wire paks, two 10', and one with a 5', 2', and 1' (approx). I'll dig up my catalog and post the part #'s and cost a bit later tonight. (...) (25 years ago, 30-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains)
