Great model! Thanks for the ongoing plethora of inspiring images.

The face gave me nightmares for ages but I finally hit on an adequate (at least in my opinion) solution a couple of days ago.

The face on mine took a long time too and I still want to redo parts of it. It’s fascinating how divergent the “Lego interpretation” of a given model can be among multiple builders.

This model would actually be closer to the real proportions in six wide. I went with eight wide because I really like being able to fit two rows of passengers (kids love them at shows), because it let me fix the end cowlings in place (at the price of using small train wheels, which don’t work so well in practice), and because I couldn’t figure out a way to make the top of the front windshield work well without the two 1x4/1x2 brackets side-by-side to hold the 1x1 slopes.
