Hi all!
I am working on a new train, and I am blocked with the bogie design.
It is a standard small bogie 6x4, but I do not use a normal coupler, as I do not
want the buffers, secondly, the coupler must a bit away from bogie it self,
something like 2,5 studs.
The problems I have are:
the half offset - why? Looking at a coupler, the technic pin is a bit offset'd
(less that half a stud), and that is causing me problems with a specific lenght
such as 4 og 5 studs. The half stud is needed when the car goes through curves.
I have played around with technic tiny beams 1x4 and 1x5 and old parts for
steering in cars.
This is also a problem due to the less space I have, somehow got the the other
half offset (so the couplet is in center, with 3 studs to each side). I have
used 2x1 jumper places, which is a solution, but I am not satisfied with it.
Basically, I have the bogie, and I need a coupler 2,5 or 3,5 studs centered from
the bogie (there are 3 studs from the bogie to the end of the car).
Any ideas?
