I also feel local loops are a good thing. PNLTC has been running several
local loops also haven't they? Of course I'm doing local loops using 12v
so I can do automated turnouts and block control without nearly so much
work :-) (and I may one day get an uncoupler, but I suspect the various
fan built ones are much better than 7862).

| We found that at shows the more train running the better. We originally started with the concept of two main lines, but as the layout got bigger it took longer for the trains to come round! So we started adding local loops. Now we think in terms of (...) (23 years ago, 15-Jan-02, to lugnet.trains)
