Re: Train Windows service packs —Mike Poindexter
(...) I have a form letter drafted up. It is still a rough draft. I put it into a word document so that people could edit it if they want. However, if everyone wrote their own letter with their own list, you might get some stupid things thrown in, (...) (26 years ago, 24-May-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Train Windows service packs —Larry Pieniazek
(...) Not a bad start. But I have to reiterate a few things. Your letter is not color specific. On reflection I agree with the color priority list but would rank them in THIS priority grey, white, red, blue, yellow,, black Secondly, I think asking (...)    (...) campaign. (...) As we have not yet reached a consensus on color yet, I have left it out. It will be in the final version of the letter. I personally would agree with your list except to place black before yellow and maybe even blue, as I have (...) (26 years ago, 24-May-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Train Windows service packs —Larry Pieniazek
(...) You are correct. Maybe a train bucket, but not a pack. We're better off agitating for a pack than a bucket as I think the run can be lower. So let's get down to 2 colors. Or even 1. Me, I like blue. We haven't HAD a lot of blue in a long (...) (26 years ago, 24-May-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Train Windows service packs —John Neal
(...) Blue? If it's all the same to them, I'd say silver and gray. I think I'd go for white over blue. (...) (26 years ago, 24-May-99, to lugnet.trains)

(...) for (...) I would also have to agree. If you want blue that much, I have 4 blue train windows I could trade you. My picks would be: 1. Gray/Black 2. Red/White 3. Blue/Yellow (I don't think it will get that far) Adding the corrugated window and (...) (26 years ago, 24-May-99, to lugnet.trains)

(...) 4?? I need 50 for a proper train. But sure, I'm always willing to discuss trades. (...) Silver is just not going to happen. I could live with a 2 color pack as long as it was equal amounts of both and all elements were in both colors. (...) I (...) (26 years ago, 25-May-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Train Windows service packs —Mike Poindexter
(...) Larry, I wish I had 50 for you. I guess you should focus on the first 25 windows and build just one side. Then you can just sit in a circle and have the train run around you. Pretend you don't know the other side isn't there. :-) (...) Agreed. (...) (26 years ago, 25-May-99, to lugnet.trains)

i like the word document. but 2 things: 1.why aeroplane windows? where are they used in the train world? 2.for a sticker sheet have the folowing: 8 lined stickers for the window glass. 2 each of: yellow bottom for the doors red bottom for the doors (...)         Re: Train Windows service packs —Mike Poindexter
(...) I would propose the airplane windows because they can be used where there isn't enough room for a train window, such as the high window in a bathroom stall. Also, I think that to try to get them in a later writing campaign is going to be (...) (26 years ago, 25-May-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Train Windows service packs —John Neal
Larry's right. In fact, if you want to get picky, look at the American prototype Pullman coaches. The windows are not as big proportionally as TLG has made their train window. I would say a 2x4 train window would be closer. European coaches seem to (...) (26 years ago, 25-May-99, to lugnet.trains)
