  Cleaning? Advice

I know this isn't the greatest place to post this however, I see more feedback from people here then in any of the other places within these Newsgroups. I've been pondering ways to properly bring back that wonderful (new) out of the wrapper shine on (...) (24 years ago, 4-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Container vs Trailer size

(...) of (...) the (...) The trailers are usually slightly taller than a standard container. I believe that many of the trailers use the extra height for circulation in Reefer units, or for when they are hauling less dense items. I think that there (...) (24 years ago, 4-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Calling all MOCs

Another dumb question. Is there a way to announce the models that have been nominated? I started nominating models, and then realized that most of the models I was nominating are probably being nominated by someone else. If you create a list of (...) (24 years ago, 4-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Container vs Trailer size

I realize that the topic of container size has been beaten to within an inch of its life, but a wee little question popped[1] into my mind. Apparently, containers are 8' wide and so are tractor trailers. Now someone pointed out that containers are (...) (24 years ago, 4-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Train Ideas & Trading Post (was: Help wanted with possible trains ideas book [60's])

(...) Can't help you with identification, sorry. But I've had in the back of my mind one day to try & get a railway layout happening using the old tracks, and a RCX in each engine [1], to allow multiple trains on one line, easier reversing loops, (...)   Help wanted with possible trains ideas book [60's]

Last friday I acquired a small quantity of blue train tracks. These also came with a blue battery box, 3 2x4 white bricks with a variety of train wheels attatched, and some papers. From these I've been able to re-create/sort out that there was 1 (...) (24 years ago, 4-Sep-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

  Bryan, and Rick Read This

To bad i typed that wrong, i meant 4564, freight rail runner, doh! Also, rick, i use a mac, and am happily using track designer, same one, i just run it in virtual pc. It's great, a tad bit slow, but it's nice to be able to use the program. Braden (...) (24 years ago, 3-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: 4558, 4547, 4554, 4565

(...) 4558, 4547, and 4554 have been discontinued for quite a while, so chances of finding them in a store are next to zero. 4565s are still available from stores in Europe if you're desperate (Such as Hamleys & Harrods in London, or LEGOLAND (...) (24 years ago, 3-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains)

So who wants to update Track Designer?

Another thread is discussing the outsourcing of the updating of Matt Bates excellent train site. This thread is about adding features to his excellent Track Designer program. Matt kindly responded to a recent question I emailed him regarding this (...) (24 years ago, 3-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Where's Good Ol Joe Davenport

Does anyone know what happened to Joe Davenports Lego Page, or the site he based some of his creations off? ( i believe the other site was by Michael Dorneich?) they seem to have dissappeared. I loved Joe's site the most of all lego train sites, (...) (24 years ago, 3-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: What happened to Matt's Train Depot?

Okay, so here's the suggestion. Whoever wants to volunteer to do this updating for Matt, go to the page to be updated, choose "View source," download the page to your own system, make the changes, email the new html pages and any source data to (...) (24 years ago, 3-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: end of train???...???

I dunno about you guys, but i'm nervous as hell, the direction lego has been going with sets like 4561 and there new station (god, whoever designed those needs a good slap in the face, or at least a lesson from the person who designed 4554 and 2150) (...)   Re: end of train???...???

(...) Well, LEGO trains have changed voltages a lot, from 12v to 4.5v to 9v or whatever, and something new probably means some new train system, like maybe DCC (that'd be cool), or a new voltage, although I don't see what is wrong with the current (...) (24 years ago, 3-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains)

  end of train???...???

  Good idea Robin

Hey robin, i'm new on lugnet, and my train and town layout is under construction, so is my website, but i think that's a good idea. It would be neat to have a lego train central, where all the clubs and personal sites could be linked through one (...) (24 years ago, 3-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains)

  4558, 4547, 4554, 4565

Does Anyone Know where i can find these sets, auctions and other internet sales aside? i would be mostly interested in a trade. I have 100's of thousands of lego pieces in my collection, so i'm sure i'll have what you need. Thanks. Braden Fox (24 years ago, 3-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains)

  WWLTA (was: Calling all MOCs)

Re: My gas turbine has been retired from my layout and scrapped, however...

  Re: Calling all MOCs

James you are right on. And there have been several ideas like this in the last few years that fizzeled out. And other ideas, like I wanted to do a nation wide LTC and/or LUG convention, I just didn't have the energy to carry that foward. But there (...) (24 years ago, 2-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains)
