Another thread is discussing the outsourcing of the updating of Matt
Bates excellent train site. This thread is about adding features to his
excellent Track Designer program.
Matt kindly responded to a recent question I emailed him regarding this
subject. He said that if someone expressed an interest in making some
updates, he would be willing to work with them.
So? Any budding programmers willing to take a crack at it?
Here's my suggestion for a new feature: Drawable squares and triangles
that can represent table space. I'd love to be able to constrain my
drawings within a certain known area, without worrying about going over
the edges, or trying to approximate the space with baseplates. Seems
like it would be a fairly simple addition, but then, you will notice
that I'm not volunteering to make it.
Also, I'd love to see it ported to the Macintosh, so I can use it
somewhere other than work, but my hopes are not so high for that...
Anyway, two more cents from me.
