  Monorail switch track repair question
 
I have a pair of monorail switches that don't move well. I have new ones and know how they should work. Is it possible to open up one of the switches without damaging it? I was about to try, but decided to seek expert advise from one of you before (...) (24 years ago, 13-May-00, to lugnet.trains)
 
  Old yellow and red train parts

Hi folks! I got a scan of a newspaper concerning a 51 years old Lego fan, who has built a whole town in his subterrain rooms. Now he has come out and shows his stuff including some train layout in a museum (he owns one to two million bricks in (...) (24 years ago, 10-May-00, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.town) !

Since I have been on a hunt for these as well, I have some information to share (or at least pass along) I received this info from an email concerning a recent trade: "Mine [not me but the seller] are new and unused and were part of service pack (...) (24 years ago, 10-May-00, to lugnet.trains)

I'm only aware of red, yellow, and white. From memory and the set database at lugnet/inv, the large sliding doors came in the following: red: 2 in 740 Building Set (also includes red/yellow train doors and yellow train windows!) 2 in 5077 Parts Pack (...) (24 years ago, 10-May-00, to lugnet.trains)

Yeah was talking to the manager a couple of weeks ago, they did get a variety of train stuff in,but it was all the standard stuff you get from S@H. I was hoping for some discontinued sets, but really I'm glad they have something in stock. I just (...) (24 years ago, 10-May-00, to lugnet.trains)
 
  7864 / 12V / Transformer-Controller
 
I have found in a store some 3 or 4 old 12 Volts Transformer-Controller, reference is 7864. I'll probably take one for me and the rest can be sold/exchanged for other of my missing sets. Anyone interested ? LG (24 years ago, 10-May-00, to lugnet.trains)

I was at the store last week. They didn't have any train sets other than the current one. They had quite a bit of track though, also a few accessories (snow clearing train, track repair truck, etc). I was hoping they would have had the train station (...) NOW the question is, what other colors did they come in, in what sets? I know of red in 78xx mail car, and yellow in 6391. Any other colors? I have too many white, need more red/yellow, and would LOVE it if they existed in grey, or best of all, (...) (24 years ago, 10-May-00, to lugnet.trains)

The City is Knoxville, Tenn. The only picture they showed was from the inside of the shed where they are rebuilding it and it was dark and showed no details of the train... The story says they tried to use it in a quarry operation but it wasn't (...) (24 years ago, 10-May-00, to lugnet.trains)
