Derek brought in a USB tower but Sunday was pretty busy so I let the monorails run off a regular train controller for the day. I'll probably get the layout LDCC'ed for the (...) Have folks done trolley wire or catenary? I've seem some folks that did some using the Maerklin parts but I'm not looking for functional, just something that looks good. (...) Honestly I wouldn't even think about switching 9V if you don't already have a bunch. The IR track is far more versatile (and you can even build your own) balanced by the downside that you have to hide a battery box for power. Save your money (...)
