Re: Updated Train Shed and Post Office

(...) I think you did a nice job with this. I really like the back of it where you have the rolling garage door. It makes it look like there was once a taller door for the engine but then they reconfigured it. You've really captured that look with (...) (18 years ago, 20-Apr-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Updated Train Shed and Post Office

Very nice. I have not taken my engine shed out of the box yet but I will keep your modifications in mind when I do. You mentioned club standards for layouts but I couldn't find any on the NOVALUG website. Are they online? (URL) VicLUG> is hoping to (...) (18 years ago, 20-Apr-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Updated Train Shed and Post Office

(URL) This is an (URL) updated version> of the Lego 10027 Engine Shed. I raised the track 1 plate to comform with (URL) our club> standards, which allowed space for a pit. I also raised the building by one brick. Those door arches used to snag (...) (18 years ago, 20-Apr-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: LDD - MOC Steam Engine inspired by Streamlined Hudson

(...) I think feedback on either would be helpful. I'm just starting up my parts collection again as AFOL, so my part availability outside is almost as limited as LDD. Any good recomendations though, and I could track it down in one of the brick (...) (18 years ago, 20-Apr-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: LDD - MOC Steam Engine inspired by Streamlined Hudson

(...) Not bad, not bad at all. Considering you were working from a limited palette, I agree you were able to capture the feel of a streamlined steam engine. I especially like your solution to the cow catcher. I really can't comment on how to improve (...) (18 years ago, 20-Apr-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

LDD - MOC Steam Engine inspired by Streamlined Hudson

I just finished my first MOC using LDD 2.0 of a steam engine inspired by a 'Streamlined Hudson'. I took some artistic liberties due to the limited part/color selection in LDD (especially on the blue side covers around the cab), but I think it still (...)   Re: LDD Heavyweight passenger train cars

(...) I've just uploaded LDraw files for the cars to BS too. Benn (18 years ago, 19-Apr-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: Three little MOCs

(...) Blacksmith Shop details: (URL) carriages for the Santa Fe train were also an AFOL design, in this case James Mathis: (URL) they didn't list it as a 'My-Own-Creation'. The Blacksmith Shop was just one of several sets Dan put together himself (...) (18 years ago, 18-Apr-07, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.town)

  Re: Three little MOCs

Hi all, After LEGO 'published' the Blacksmith set by Dan as the first in their MOC series, none have followed. Do you know why they only published one MOC in their series? Also, was it 2001 when they published this set? And was the price 39,99$? (...) (18 years ago, 18-Apr-07, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.town, FTX)

Hornby R8215 DCC decoder & LDCC

I just wanted to share my experiences with this decoder, before someone goes out and buys a bunch of them and gets disappointed. So, I bought it as an additional decoder for my decoupler1 since it is small, simple, relatively cheap (8GBP), and can (...) (18 years ago, 17-Apr-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: A Cool Viaduct

(...) It's definitely not Mac specific. I know someone using a PC who's had the problem too. Tim (18 years ago, 17-Apr-07, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.cad.ldd)

  Re: A Cool Viaduct

(...) Oh yeah, no problem about calling me Jason. It happens a lot in real life to me, too. I guess it could be a Mac-specific bug. If you know of any other Mac LDD users (or have a spare Mac box around), perhaps they could download this model and (...) (18 years ago, 17-Apr-07, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.cad.ldd)

Re: Train Station made from Corner Café

Welcome aboard! I'm not a train..or even town fan...but it's always great to see new builders, especially when they enter with a very nice MOC! Keep up the great work and God Bless, Nathan (URL) (18 years ago, 17-Apr-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: A Cool Viaduct

(...) Thanks for the information Jordan (you did see my note apologizing for calling you Jason, right?). Tim Gould also has no problems with that model. I suspect it's an LDD bug where my version of LDD (Mac) is applying the rules differently than (...) (18 years ago, 17-Apr-07, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Train Station made from Corner Café

(...) Great suggestion. That would be fun! And from the pictures, I guess I already have the white sheet for the snow :). I could use the thin, two-high white pieces I used for bookshelves and cafe refrigerator to make lockers... it also makes me (...) (18 years ago, 17-Apr-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Train Station made from Corner Café

(...) A station at a ski resort! Tim (18 years ago, 17-Apr-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Train Station made from Corner Café

Love it! The look is classic and the details are fun: the clock, the bike rack, the ticket windows. Wow, just great stuff. Makes me actually consider taking apart my Cafe Corner. :) (18 years ago, 17-Apr-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Train Station made from Corner Café

(...) Thanks Laurent. After I completed the station, I did have the same thought of getting a second cafe to extend it. I guess that is the way of the AFOL, always wanting to build more... I'm sure you will beat me to that, and I would enjoy seeing (...) (18 years ago, 16-Apr-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: Help with Orient Express...?

(...) Oh well! You can always run them as your Express for now, then maybe later build some more appropriate models and keep them for local trains, green was the most common colour for coaches across most of Europe during the heyday of the Orient (...)
