I tried this solution out for myself, and it didn't produce the best results for rolling friction. Not to say it isn't a good solution, because I do see major improvements, but just that there is a better one. Adding the metal sleeve around the (...) You typically record the IR signals on a PC, figure out how they're coded, then program a microcontroller to decode (...) Well if you look at the first part that goes over building the engine, you will notice that it shows sliding the 9v wheels onto the axel, then placeing them in the holder.
