I tried this solution out for myself, and it didn't produce the best results for rolling friction. Not to say it isn't a good solution, because I do see major improvements, but just that there is a better one. Adding the metal sleeve around the (...) You typically record the IR signals on a PC, figure out how they're coded, then program a microcontroller to decode (...) Any AFOLs in the Kansas City area, we have a chance to display at this year's Greater Kansas City Model Railroad Expo at Union Station on Septmber 23rd and 24th. Set up is Friday the 22nd. Hey all, Well I’m at it again. This time I bring you something with more usability. As most of you reading this should know the Lego Company recently released 2 IR train sets. While the idea is great, the implementation left much to be desired. The (...) While I'm not 100 percent sure what the new 6 x 30 IR train baseplate looks like, I tried to fake it for an experiment to build a locomotive based on the German DB Class 144 as inspired by the new IR set loc as a starting point. I've seen better (...) (18 years ago, 28-Jul-06, to lugnet.trains)

Well if you look at the first part that goes over building the engine, you will notice that it shows sliding the 9v wheels onto the axel, then placeing them in the holder.
