(...) (URL) exchange rate 1968? (...) Thanks Gary, for letting me know about the exchange rate. I assume the catalogue price has been without tax, so all in all the prices have been on similar levels. (...) Yes there are a few minor design changes: (...)   Re: TCLTC Style Track Details

(...) Have you tried adding tan in places where you use more light grey than dark grey? See next to the red & yellow loco here: (URL) Tan has a similar brightness to light grey, so it can break up the monotony of the colour. My research into real (...)   Re: TCLTC Style Track Details

(...) I agree that black and white have no place in speckling. If one is to only speckle regular LEGO track, then using gray and light gray is a good solution IMO. I wanted to alter the tie frequency of the LEGO track, and so that is why I chose to (...) (19 years ago, 6-Jun-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: TCLTC Style Track Details

(...) John, I've been playing with as well, but I use a slightly differnt meathode for the curves. I'll have to check out what you've done when I get home, thanks for posting. I agree about the speckling, although I'm using gray and very light grey (...) (19 years ago, 6-Jun-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

(...) There goes Lar's LEGO budget for 2005... good thing I'm not coming over too or it would be even worse ;) O well, to make it up : all you modders that'll attend Berlin's 1000steineland will get the first round on me. (19 years ago, 6-Jun-05, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: TCLTC Style Track Details

(...) When I get a hold of one I can say for sure, but IIRC, we did nothing about that area, and it didn't seem to matter that much. But just thinking about it-- what can one do? More later. JOHN (19 years ago, 6-Jun-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: WRONG Rung

I agree in this case. The one case where the new handle seems superior to the old is if you want to attach it to two 1x1 plates with clip vertical to make a hinge point. With the old handle you clip one clip to the center, which makes a half-stud (...) (19 years ago, 6-Jun-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

I tend to agree in that example, though I have just swapped out some black old ones for dark red new ones on my Duchess of Sutherland (along with the addition of dark red 1x1 plates with light clips from the mini ARC Starfighter). (...) A number of great new renderings by UR can now be seen on Brickshelf. As I said before I like these locos a lot. Please if possible publish the dat-file for the Crocodile! Mattias (19 years ago, 6-Jun-05, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build, lugnet.loc.de)

  TCLTC Style Track Details

A while ago, some were asking for details as to how we "detailed" our tracks, especially the curves and points. I had a lot of free time this weekend, and I decided to get some pics taken (unfortunately, all of our points are still packed at the (...) (19 years ago, 6-Jun-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)
