Re: Signs, Signs, everywhere a Sign

I dont know it looks like its been tampered with, it looks like everything was erased in the box and someone put in NGLTC. But i could be wrong (as always) and if it were/is true-- cool. (...) (24 years ago, 22-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains.org)

Re: Has anybody seen this engine before?

Hey Kai, I think I'll have to agree with you on this one.... I think it plain stinks that someone, even a kid would pawn something as nice as this as their own....it is your basic fraud ---> passing someone else's work as your own.... in school (...) (24 years ago, 22-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Signs, Signs, everywhere a Sign

What a sight to see while traveling on GA HWY 20 through Forsyth county, too bad the streets aren't littered with LEGO bricks. (URL) J. Trobaugh North Georgia LEGO Train Club (URL) (24 years ago, 22-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains.org)

  Re: Franchising Spamcake?

(...) Ah, well, I did some digging on the Baylug site and found a pic of the finished diner and its sleepy creator (How're those 3 am feedings goin, Tom?;-) (URL) (...) (24 years ago, 21-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains.org)

Re: -z- Preview of Harry Potter -z-

(...) As an aside Norbert is definitely a key figure in the movie. At the Toy fair some companies did display their Norbert toys. How Lego might create Norbert depends a bit on which stage of his growth they choose to depict. Jonathan L (24 years ago, 21-Mar-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.year.2001, lugnet.trains, lugnet.town)

  Re: Franchising Spamcake?

(...) Looks good, I actually think I remember it now. The only thing I see missing is a nice sign running down the center of the roof with the diner logo on it. (...) I think we could stay true to the Spamcake while adding a special local "flavor" (...) (24 years ago, 21-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains.org)

Re: Has anybody seen this engine before?

(...) I didn't say that it was funny that the picture was stolen. The "funny thing" was my initial thought/hope that the picture was mine. If it had be mine I would have chuckled and immediately contacted LEGO to ask them to remove the picture. I (...) (24 years ago, 21-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Has anybody seen this engine before?

(...) Maybe we'll have to put our names in big bold letters across the pictures!? I've put my name in the corner before, but that would be to easy to crop out... Josh (24 years ago, 21-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Franchising Spamcake?

(...) I don't think that the parts are too rare. Here is the official Spamcake Diner web site-- see for yourself (although I know that the outside has undergone subsequent revision since those pics were taken-- I saw the completed model at the (...) (24 years ago, 21-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains.org)

Re: -z- Preview of Harry Potter -z-

(...) Well, in that case, I hope they do lots of buildings from, eh, crud. The wizard town near Hogwart's. I can only imagine they'd be really good fodder for making medieval/small European town buildings. eric (24 years ago, 21-Mar-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.year.2001, lugnet.trains, lugnet.town)

Re: -z- Preview of Harry Potter -z-

(...) Exactly my point. I was talking about the future possibilities beyond the sets for release this November. Katie (24 years ago, 21-Mar-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.year.2001, lugnet.trains, lugnet.town)

Re: -z- Preview of Harry Potter -z-

(...) LEGO's license is for the movie. If something's not in the movie, it's not going to be in the LEGO sets. If they leave Norbert out of the movie? No LEGO Norbert. The only way LEGO will be doing something from the other books is if for some (...) (24 years ago, 21-Mar-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.year.2001, lugnet.trains, lugnet.town)

  : I've got a question to pose.........

Has anyone on Lugnet who reads this ever built, is building, or is in the process of building a meteorology team(aka. the National Severe Storms Laboratory)with a few vehicles?   Re: -z- Preview of Harry Potter -z-

(...) Hmmmm....... I can think of tons of sets they can do, especially in the books after the first one. But I wouldn't want to give any secrets away for those that haven't read all four books. Maybe after the first initial launch of the sets, they (...) (24 years ago, 21-Mar-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.year.2001, lugnet.trains, lugnet.town)

  Re: Bi-Level Commuter Car

(...) Ah but, the Bi-levels only run on the Fredericksburg line of the VRE, not the Manassas line. I know, I ride the Manassas line most of the week and we get to see the nice Bi-levels go by us at the stations in town where both lines come (...) (24 years ago, 21-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains)

Re: -z- Preview of Harry Potter -z-

(...) I have high hopes for a really big castle set and a Hogwarts Express train. Other than that I am not sure what they can do. At least Star Wars had lots of space ships. I can't think of what else they can do. Ron's car? The accessories may be (...) (24 years ago, 21-Mar-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.year.2001, lugnet.trains, lugnet.town)

Re: Has anybody seen this engine before?

I don't think it's a matter of copyright so much as fraud. It's not like the kid used some else's design; he actually used a photo of someone else's model and claimed it to be his own. jt (...) (24 years ago, 21-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains)
